Fred Woodward from Lias Tire stated, “We want to welcome the two southern tier tracks to our growing list of facilities in 2016.” American Racer Cup Program Director Andrew Harpell remarked, “We always welcome the addition of new tracks to the American Racer Cup and the involvement of I-88 Speedway and Thunder Mountain Speedway will only help to enhance the program.”
Woodward added, “We have talked with both facilities about bringing the American Racer Cup program to their respected tracks for some time now and after talking with Karl Spoonhower of Thunder Mountain and Jamie Page of I-88 they were both definitely excited about the idea of bringing the American Racer Cup program to those tracks for the first time in 2016.” “They feel this will give their drivers the added bonus from American Racer that will be beneficial to all the involved with the giveaway tires and point fund available to the racers.”
