Stalk It™ to Sponsor BK Racing in Daytona 500

HUNTERSVILLE, NC (February 7, 2016) – BK Racing is welcoming Stalk It™ as a partner for the upcoming Daytona 500 with driver Robert Richardson Jr. Veteran NASCAR Crew Chief, Mike Ford, will lead the effort.
Stalk It™ is an innovative eco-driven longboard company that uses CornBoard™ in the construction of its custom, hand-crafted longboards. Utilizing innovative CornBoard™ material allows Stalk It™ to reduce dependency on wood products while creating boards that are high-performance with low-ECO impact. All Stalk It™ boards are hand-made in the USA.

Doug Fritz Named Chief Marketing Officer at BK Racing

HUNTERSVILLE, NC (January 27, 2016) – BK Racing announced today that industry veteran Doug Fritz has joined the team as Chief Marketing Officer.
Fritz assumes a wide scope of responsibilities as he spearheads and manages all aspects of the team’s marketing, business development and digital content strategies.
Fritz arrives at BK Racing with over 25 years of experience in the motorsports industry, including a decade of service as Sr. Director of Marketing and Business Development for NASCAR, as well as Chief Executive Officer of Iowa Speedway and President of the Richmond International Raceway.
“I am very excited to join Ron Devine and BK Racing. With the recent announcements of Matt DiBenedetto returning and the signing of David Ragan, this team is positioning itself to accomplish great things in 2016 and beyond.”
Fritz has also served as the Director of Corporate Administration at International Speedway Corporation (ISC). ISC is recognized as one of the leaders in the motorsports entertainment industry and parent company of 12 speedways; including Daytona International Speedway, home of the Daytona 500. Most recently, Fritz was Managing Director, Business Development and Event Operations for SP+ Gameday.
Fritz is a visionary in the motorsports industry and his leadership abilities have been recognized with several prestigious awards. He was named Henrico County VA Business Leader of the Year in April 2005, one of Richmond Times-Dispatch‘s “Most Influential Sports People” in 2007, as well as USAC Silver Crown Promoter of the Year in 2008. He is also the author of “A Moment with a Legend” story in the 2009 Chicken Soup for the NASCAR Soul book.
“Doug has been an influential figure on the business of NASCAR for many years,” said team owner Ron Devine. “He has a very broad perspective of the sport and I am confident that he’ll have a positive impact as we continue on our path of forward progress.”
Fritz graduated from Virginia Tech in 1981 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing management. He is the proud father of two and currently resides in Cornelius, NC. Fritz begins his position with BK Racing on February 1st.

David Ragan Joins BK Racing

HUNTERSVILLE, NC (January 25, 2016) – NASCAR Sprint Cup Series veteran David Ragan will join the BK Racing line-up to pilot the No. 23 Toyota Camry for the 2016 season.

Ragan will join teammate Matt DiBenedetto at BK Racing, which will field two full-time Sprint Cup entries this season.

During his 15-year career across all three national touring divisions, Ragan has claimed four victories, 33 top-fives, and 93 top-tens. His most recent trip to Victory Lane came at Talladega Superspeedway in the 2013 Aaron’s 499.
“I’m happy to be part of something that has so much growth potential,” said Ragan. “(Team owner) Ron (Devine) has steadily built his program over the last five years.

“He’s made an even greater commitment in 2016 with new cars, equipment, and additional personnel. I feel that we’ll be in a position to bring the team to the next level. I’m looking forward to the season.”

Team owner, Ron Devine is confident in his new driver.

“We’re very excited to have a driver of David’s caliber join our team,” said Devine. “In addition to being a race winner, I feel that his input and leadership qualities will benefit the team on many levels. Our entire organization is energized to work with him.”

Dr Pepper
The one of a kind soft drink, whose involvement with BK Racing began in 2011, will be back on board the No. 23 Toyota Camry as a primary sponsor for multiple races throughout the 2016 NASCAR season. Dr Pepper associate branding will also appear on all of BK Racing’s cars throughout the season.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with BK Racing for the fifth year and excited about the new heights that this team will be able to reach with the addition of David Ragan,” says Jaxie Alt, SVP of Marketing, Dr Pepper.
