Pole Position Raceway Expands Partnership with Oswego Speedway in 2016

OSWEGO, NY (February 11, 2016) – Oswego Speedway and Pole Position Raceway announced this week the addition of the “Pole Position Raceway Firing Point,” and the “Pole Position Raceway Finish Line” to their 2016 partnership at the Home of the Supermodifieds.

Pole Position Raceway is America’s leading chain of state-of-the-art indoor motorsports entertainment facilities, among the fastest electric karts on the east coast.

One of the fastest growing forms of recreation, Pole Position Raceway offers a variety of options to suit the needs of all racers – from families, to die hard racing enthusiasts.  In addition to the Destiny USA location, Pole Position Raceway facilities can also be found in Rochester at the Marketplace Mall and Buffalo at the Walden Galleria.

Pole Position Raceway’s 40,000 square foot facility boasts a quarter-mile track and the latest in high-performance, all-electric, indoor karts capable of speeds up to 45mph.  The facility features adult karts for racers who are at least 58 inches tall and separate junior karts for kids who are at least 48 inches tall.  Best of all, the karts use electric technology, so there are no fumes.

Racing events include “Arrive & Drive” racing for those visiting the mall that enter a queue to race against others.  Pre-Scheduled Racing events are for groups of 10+ and include the Pole Position Challenge, Grand Prix or Super Pole which are 2, 3 or 4 race events culminating with racers receiving 1st, 2nd & 3rdplace medals at the Winners’ Circle.

In addition to side-by-side race action, Pole Position Raceway also features authentic racing memorabilia, arcade games and concessions. Able to accommodate approximately 300 people, Pole Position Raceway offers V.I.P spaces for private parties, personal celebrations and corporate event rentals.

Pole Position Raceway Syracuse is the marquee venue in the central New York area for fast and safe wheel to wheel indoor kart racing action.

New in 2016 at Oswego Speedway, all racing events will begin from one of the two “Pole Position Raceway Firing Points” located in the third and fourth turns of the Speedway.

All initial double file green flag starts will take place from the turn four “Pole Position Raceway Firing Point,” while race restarts will get the green flag from the third turn “Pole Position Raceway Firing Point.”

But that’s not all.  All races will begin and end with Pole Position Raceway this coming season.

The “Pole Position Raceway Finish Line” on the Speedway’s main straightaway will be the final stretch of pavement a winning driver sees this season on his or her way to the Speedway’s prized victory lane.
