FOUR DIVISIONS OF STOCK CAR RACING FEATURED IN WHELEN NIGHT AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY SATURDAY

BECHTELSVILLE, PA May 15, 2018 . . . Whelen Engineering Night at Grandview Speedway this Saturday night will feature four divisions of stock car racing with the first event getting the green flag at 7:30 p.m.

                Heading up the three divisions of NASCAR stock car racing will be the T.P.Trailers 358 Modifieds joined by the Sportsman stocks and Late Models. The fourth division of racing will feature the Blast from the Past Vintage racers giving fans in the stands the opportunity to see what the racers of the past looked like. The Vintage cars are gaining in popularity with each appearance at the one-third-mile, banked clay oval.

                Even though there is an added division of racing the admission price for the Whelen Night will remain the same as adults pay just $15 for admission while the youngsters under 12 are admitted FREE. And there is always free parking on the speedway grounds.

                Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. and that is when the Low Down and Dirty Internet radio show will be presenting their weekly Meet and Greet with drivers and cars on display. This will Sportsman racers Nathan Mohr and Ken Eckert Jr. will be there along with Modified talent Justin Grim.

                Whelen Engineering, sponsor for the night, has been a longtime supporter of the NASCAR.

                Current Modified point leader Brett Kressley will lead a talented field of racers that will also include defending champion Craig VonDohren, Duane Howard, Frank Cozze, Jeff Strunk, Mike Gular and a host of others. The most recent Saturday night show featuring the Modifieds attracted 40 of the popular racers trying for the 28 starting spots in the 30-lap feature. Sportsman will be led by point leader Brad Grim while Late Models will have point leader Danny Snyder leading the charge.

                Coming up on Saturday, May 26th will be a tripleheader show of NASCAR stock car racing featuring the T.P.Trailers 358 Modifieds, Sportsman and Late Models.

                And as the second part of the Memorial Day weekend action at Grandview the first Thunder on the Hill Racing Series events will be presented on Sunday, May 27th with the 21st Annual Traffic Jam Big Block/Small Block Modifieds topping the show. Also included will be the Sportsman stock cars along with the Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series. Racing starts at 7:30 p.m.

                ENDURO AND VINTAGE RACERS READY FOR FIRST EVENT OF THE SEASON ON SUNDAY

BECHTELSVILLE, PA May 4, 2018 . . . According to a number of sources Ma Nature is planning to cooperate on Saturday and that means there will NASCAR stock car racing at Grandview Speedway staring at 7:30 p.m. Fans are reminded that the gates are opening 30 minutes later than the early season events.

                Saturday night racing action will include the NASCAR T.P.Trailers 358 Modifieds, Sportsman and Late Model stock cars. After a full series of exciting qualifying events the fields will be set for the feature races with 28 Modifieds taking the green in a 30-lapper. The Late Models and Sportsman stock cars will run in 25-lap features.

                Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. Adult admission is $15 while youngsters under 12 are being admitted free. Pit admission is $30 with a NASCAR license.

                And when the main gate is opened there will be racers showing off their race cars and signing autographs as part of the weekly Low Down and Dirt Internet Radio Meet and Greet.

                Then on Sunday at 1 p.m. the first Outlaw Enduro and Blast from the Past Vintage doubleheader will be presented and will include 100-lap features for the Small Cars and Big Cars, 50-laps for the Junk Cars and two 15-lap feature for the Vintage racers. Adult admission is just $10 and youngsters under 12 are admitted FREE.

HOPEFULLY APRIL SHOWERS BRING MAY FLOWERS/RACING AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY

 TRIPLEHEADER STOCK CAR ACTION ON SATURDAY, ENDURO AND VINTAGE CARS ON SUNDAY

BECHTELSVILLE, PA MAY 1, 2018 . . . There is the old saying “April showers bring May flowers” and the management of Grandview Speedway hopes that April showers will be bringing great weather for NASCAR stock car racing and other planned events during the month of May.

                Just two of five scheduled events were able to be presented in April. Last Saturday’s tripleheader fell victim to the weather.

                Next up on the schedule is a three division show on Saturday, May 5 featuring the NASCAR T.P.Trailers 358 Modifieds, Sportsman and Late Model stock cars with a new starting time of 7:30 p.m. Spectator gates will open at 5:30 p.m. throughout the season up until the Freedom 76 Classic is presented on September 15th.

                The three division card of racing will include a full series of qualifying events topped by a 30-lap feature for the Modifieds and 25-lap features for the Late Models and Sportsman.  Fans are invited to visit racers that are part of the weekly Low Down and Dirty Internet Radio display at the main gate. Adult admission is $15 while youngsters under 12 are admitted free.

                On Sunday, May 6th, the first Enduro and Blast from the Past Vintage car doubleheader of the season will be presented with a 1 p.m. starting time. The big and small car Enduro divisions will each run in 100-lappers while the JunkYard class will be featured in a 50-lapper. And there will be a main event for the Ladies. General admission for adults is just $10 while youngsters under 12 are admitted FREE.

                The Modifieds, Sportsman and Late Models will be featured each Saturday night during the month of May with May 19th, Whelen Engineering Night, having the Blast from the Past Vintage cars added to the show giving fans a four division show with no increase in admission.

                And on Sunday, May 27th, the first Thunder on the Hill Series event will be presented with the 21st Annual Traffic Jam Big Block/358 Modifieds being the main attraction. The Mid Atlantic Sprint Series will be part of the action packed night of racing along with the Sportsman stock cars. Racing will start at 7:30 p.m.
