Tim Jedrzejek to Tackle Oswego Opener May 14 with Graham Racing

OSWEGO, NY (March 21, 2016) – In another announcement from the Graham Racing Supermodified stable, Ohio Supermodified ace Tim Jedrzejek will join the Graham fleet for Oswego Speedway’s 66th season opener on Saturday, May 14, in search of his first career Novelis Supermodified feature victory.

Jedrzejek, known affectionately through the circle of Supermodified racing as ‘Timmy J’, picked up two ISMA Supermodified wins at Oswego last season driving for longtime ISMA car owner, Howie Lane.

While Jedrzejek has scored six career winged Supermodified wins at Oswego, he has not competed in non-wing action at the Speedway since the 2014 Budweiser International Classic 200, driving the Mike Murphy No. 60.

Despite being out of the seat of a non-wing Supermodified for more than a year, Jedrzejek is beaming at the thought of another chance.

“I am very excited to be a part of the Graham team,” said Jedrzejek.  “Ray (Graham) and I have a great friendship and have discussed racing together for a number of years, and it’s really great to have an agreement for the opener.  I will do my best to try and park the Graham Super in victory lane on May 14.”

Jedrzejek will join the father/son duo of Ray and Kody Graham as well as defending Novelis Supermodified Rookie of the Year Aric Iosue, and recently announced full-time team member Pat Lavery on the Graham Racing roster for opening night.

In a slight adjustment, Lavery will pilot the former Graham No. 91 as the No. 12 this season, while Jedrzejek will wheel the former No. 21 as the No. 91 for the opener.

Jedrzejek will also continue as the driver of the Lane Racing No. 97 ISMA Supermodified in 2016.

Since 2009, Graham Racing has garnered 13 main event victories at Oswego including wins in seven consecutive seasons, with Top10 point finishes in four of the last six championship races.

Oswego Speedway will begin its 66th consecutive season of racing on Saturday, May 14 with the lid lifters for the Novelis Supermodifieds and the Pathfinder Bank SBS, as well as the 61-lap Richie Evans Memorial for the RoC Modifieds.

Oswego Speedway Camping Regulations in Place for 2016

OSWEGO, NY (March 21, 2016) – Oswego Speedway will again provide ample camping space for race fans at all regular season events in 2016, located at the bottom of the Albany Street/Nolan Swift Memorial Drive hill in the flats camping lot.

Weekend camping at all regular season events will be open from Friday to Sunday, for a $20 fee.  Weekend only campers must clear the lot by end of day on Sunday.

Those who plan to camp for the entire Speedway season, including Budweiser International Classic Weekend, can opt for a season camping pass for $200.  By purchasing this pass, campers will receive their Classic Weekend camping sticker right away, and be able to leave their camper in the flats lot through Budweiser International Classic Weekend.

Those with season camping passes that wish to camp in the rear camping lot for Classic will have first choice of spaces in the rear campground on Saturday, August 27.

Those opting for the season camping pass may be required to re-position their camper in the flats lot prior to Classic Week in order to meet the Classic Weekend parking guidelines.

“Camping has been a part of the Oswego Speedway race experience for several years and we are excited to again provide the flats lot for this during regular season events in 2016,” said Oswego Speedway PR Director, Dan Kapuscinski.  “With the rising costs associated with cleanup, and in order to continue to provide a safe and secure environment for our fans, the weekly camping fee is being implemented in 2016.  The season camping pass, which includes Classic Weekend, is a tremendous value and offers the perk of being able to claim your choice of Classic camping in the flats lot as early as May, as well as first choice in the rear lot prior to Classic.”

At the conclusion of a regular season race weekend, campers remaining in the flats lot without a purchased Classic Weekend season camping sticker will be removed at the owner’s expense.

Season camping pass stickers will soon be available for purchase in the Speedway office.  For more information, call (315) 342-0646.

Race fans looking to camp solely for Budweiser Classic Week will be able to purchase a camping pass on August 28 for the same $50 charge.

Those looking for information on electric camping spaces at the corner of Jim Shampine Drive and Nolan Swift Memorial Drive can phone the Speedway office for particulars.

Oswego Speedway will begin its 66th consecutive season of racing on Saturday, May 14 with the lid lifters for the Novelis Supermodifieds and the Pathfinder Bank SBS, as well as the 61-lap Richie Evans Memorial for the RoC Modifieds.
