Terms include naming rights to VP Racing Fuels Sportsman and signage

LANCASTER, N.Y. (April 23, 2018) — Lancaster National Speedway & Dragway is proud to announce a new multi-year partnership with VP Racing Fuels for the company to become the official racing fuel supplier of LNS&D.

After talks with track competitors and VP Fuels, LNS&D has agreed to resume a partnership that was in place years ago. VP Fuels is a leading racing fuel for asphalt, dirt and drag racing programs around the country.

Both the Franco’s Pizza Drag Racing and X-Press Signs Stock Car programs will fully switch over to VP Fuels following a two week period to allow teams the opportunity to run off any previous fuel inventory from last season. Lancaster will also utilize VP’s track prep materials for the Dragway, and for needed instances on the Stock Car track. The agreement also calls for the weekly premier Stock Car division to be called the VP Racing Fuels Sportsman and includes signage around the facility.

“In talking with VP Fuels, it quickly became apparent this was going to be a good partnership for all involved,” said Tim Packman, Track President. “The program they offered us will go towards the end-of-season points purses for both the X-Press Signs Stock Car and Franco’s Pizza Friday Night Drags programs.”

“I’m excited to work with everyone at Lancaster National Speedway & Dragway,” said Tim Houge, VP Racing Fuels Regional Manager. “Both the drag strip and the circle track are run at the highest level and we look forward to being a part of the Lancaster family.”

After being forced to cancel the first two weeks of the season, Lancaster is scheduled to begin operations with a Test and Tune for the Drag program on Friday, May 4. The next day, the Stock Cars will take to the track for the “Queen City Clash” and Late Model Mania on Saturday, May 5 with a 2 p.m. start.
