There is a yearly tradition at Mike Van Houten Jr’s 3V Motorsports and that is collecting toys to be handed out during the Christmas season at Ronald McDonald House in New Hyde Park NY.
Starting this Saturday September 7th at Riverhead Raceway and every Sat. until the season is over Mike and the team will be collecting new unwrapped toys. After the season is over they will continue to collect toys at the 3V Toy drives at locations to be announced.
This will be Mike’s 3rd annual drive and the team is hoping to make this bigger and better to brighten up a child’s holiday season
About Ronald McDonalds House: The mission of the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island is to keep families with sick children close to each other and the care and resources they need. The House provides the parents and siblings of these children with a temporary haven in a secure and comfortable environment among other families sharing a similar burden.
Located on the campus of the Cohen Children’s Medical Center of New York (formerly Schneider Children’s Hospital), the House accommodates families in a warm and supportive environment. Since opening in 1986, approximately 30,000 families from the United States and more than 80 countries around the world have been served. Many of the families are from Long Island and other parts of the Metropolitan area.
If you are coming to Riverhead Raceway this Saturday night or any night the rest of the season please donate and help Mike spread some holiday cheer.
