RIVERHEAD RACEWAY WELCOMES FALL WITH DOUBLEHEADER WEEKEND SEPTEMBER 25TH & 26TH

The 2021 regular season at Riverhead Raceway will draw to a close in a big way this weekend Saturday September 25th and Sunday September 26th with no less than 15 feature events planned over the the first weekend of Fall. Saturday Championship Night for the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series will be presented followed by a eight event Sunday afternoon show. The track sit silent until the big Islip 300 Tour Type Modified event Saturday afternoon November 13th.

When race fans look back at 2021 at Riverhead Raceway it very well could be remembered as the year of the first time winner. Thirteen first career Riverhead Raceway winners graced the winners circle in 2021 spread across the seven divisions of the Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series, with four new winners combined in the Street Stock and Mini Stock ranks.

Saturday the Buzz Chew Chevrolet NASCAR Modifieds will headline Championship Night competing in the final 50-lap event of 2021. It will be the final tune-up for team prior to the $7,000 ton win Islip 300 in November. Late Models (40-laps), Crate Modifieds (25-laps), Figure Eights (15-laps), Blunderbusts (20-laps), Super Pro Trucks (20-laps) and INEX Legend Race Cars (20-laps) round out the race card. Aside from the victory lane interview for the race winner, the 2021 champion will also be interviewed on their accomplishment in each class.

With a busy schedule Saturday track officials have announced pit gates will open at 1:00 pm, practice at 2:00 pm with qualifying starting at 4:30 pm. Spectator gates will open at 4:00 pm. Admission is $30 for adults, kids 6-12 $10 with 5 and under free.Riverheadraceway.Tv live stream will start at 4:15 pm.

Less than 24 hours later the Enduro Extravaganza will unfold Sunday afternoon. The Street Stocks and Mini Stocks will race in 20-lap feature events and be joined by Truck Enduro, 8-Cylinder Enduro and 4/6-Cylinder Gut & Go Enduro races with race distances determined by amount of entrants. The Truck Enduro class will run two races, one a make up of an event rained out mid-program on August 21st.
As an added attraction on the Enduro Extravaganza the youthful racers of our new INEX Bandolero division will be in action with two 15-lap events, one for Group A and the other for Group B.
Sunday track officials disclosed the pit gate will open at 10:00 am, practice at 11:00 am with qualifying at 12:30 pm. Spectator gates open at 12 noon. Sunday general admission is $25 for adults, kids 6-12 $10 while 5 and under are free. Riverheadraceway.Tv live stream will begin at 12:15 pm.
