The wait for the 2022 Riverhead Raceway schedule is over. Today Riverhead updated its web site and released the 2022 schedule.
Practice on April 23rd and Apri 30th for all divisions gets the 72nd season started with Opening night May 3rd for all the regular Saturday night divisions and a 7-division show.
As usual the mainstay Tour Modifieds will lead the way with 20 events. Tour Modifieds will include 3 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour events highlighted by a 206-lap event in memory of Eddie Partridge on June 25th along with 200 lap events on May 14th and September 17th. All3 NASCAR WMT races will be broadcast live on FloRacing.
Additional extra distance Tour Modified events include 6 races in memory of Ted Christopher with the Ted Christopher Crown series. The Ted Christopher races will vary in length from 72 laps to 300 at the Islip 300 on November 12th. The Bubba 150 returns on August 20th.
All regular divisions are back, Late Models, Blunderbust, Crate Modifieds, INEX Legends, Super Pro Trucks, Figure 8’s. The Miller Lite Crown Series will be back for all regular divisions with special races to be held throughout the season.
The Vintage all Stars will be back with the division re-named the Ed Partridge All Stars; the All Stars will visit 4 times. Saturday June 4th will be Fred Harbach night, the night the track will honor the late Fred Harbach 30 years after his last win, championship, and retirement. The restored X-90 Caviler will be on hand.
The INEX Legends will have their annual National qualifier on August 6th. The race will be named the Sara Sylvester INEX National qualifier in memory of the late Sara Sylvester. Sara did so much for the INEX legends over the years and it is fitting the race will be named in her memory.
Street Stocks, Mini Stocks, Fireworks, Monster Trucks, Big Wheel races, Bandoleros, School Bus Figure 8 races, School bus Demos will all be back.
Sprinkle in 2 Enduro Sundays and it will be another busy season at Riverhead Raceway from April to November.
