DUNDEE, NY – Full steam ahead.

The Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco is set for a busy two weeks in New York State.

After a trip to Accord Speedway on May 10, the River Valley Builders North Region continues one week later (May 17) with the ‘Outlaw Showdown’ at Tyler Siri’s Outlaw Speedway in Dundee, N.Y.

The STSS big-block/small-block Modifieds return to the site of one the most exciting races of the 2021 season for a 50-lap, $5,000-to-win affair with a total purse of more than $26,000.

Waterloo, N.Y.’s Steve Paine won the 2021 edition, leading all 50 laps with the likes of Anthony Perrego, Mike Mahaney, Stewart Friesen and Matt Sheppard all within car-lengths of ‘The Hurricane’ at the end. The win was the first STSS triumph of Paine’s Hall of Fame career.

The event serves as Round No. 3 of the River Valley Builders North Region, and the second North Region race in just seven days’ time.

The STSS Crate 602 Sportsman will join the ‘Outlaw Showdown’ program, adding a new venue to their history. Outlaw Speedway will become the 20th track for the STSS Crate 602 Sportsman since the addition of the STSS Sportsman series in 2016.

The 25-lap affair serves as Round No. 2 of the Precision Hydraulic & Oil North Region for the STSS Crate 602 Sportsman. The winner of the event will take home a $1,500 top prize.

In addition to the two STSS divisions, the 360 Sprint Cars complete the program with a 30-lap, $3,000-to-win feature event.

For the May 17 event, pit gates open at 4:30 p.m. with grandstand gates to follow at 5:30 p.m. Hot laps are scheduled for a 7 p.m. start with racing slated to follow at 7:30 p.m.

Grandstand admission is $30 for Adults and $28 for Seniors. Kids ages 12 & under get in FREE.

Pit admission is $40 (ages 13 & up). Kids (ages 5-12) get in for $20 and Children ages 4 & under are admitted free.
