GW Promotional Group announced today that Weaver Brothers Construction has signed on as the primary sponsor of the second round of the Whitcomb 5 Series. Set to compete at Claremont Motorsports Park on Friday, June 17, the Weaver Brothers Construction 125 will pin some of the top drivers in the NHSTRA Modified division together on a tricky New Hampshire track to chase a $4,000 winning prize.

On top of the Weaver Brothers announcement, Brattleboro Auto Mall and Fairfield’s Cadillac Buick GMC will also return to sponsor the Whitcomb 5 Series at Claremont. The group will provide the Fastest Lap award for the driver who posts the quickest time in time trials prior to heat races.

“Both of these companies have been big supporters of the Whitcomb 5 Series from day one,” Gregg Whitcomb, owner of GW Promotional Group, said. “We’re excited to get back to racing at Claremont after just over a month off, it feels like forever. We have some great momentum to build off and we are expecting a strong car count with some of the best racing Claremont has seen in a while. This is another event fans should mark on their calendar as one they don’t want to miss in 2022.”

Weaver Brothers Construction, based in Bow, New Hampshire, has been serving the state of New Hampshire since 1946, as one of the leading road and earthwork contractors. After many years of successful ownership by the Weaver Brothers, in 1994, the Bates brothers – Mark, Peter & Jeff – completed the buyout of the company. Jeff and Peter are the current owners of the firm and have guided work required by the state of New Hampshire for the very ambitious I-93 widening project and much more.

“All of us have a history together,” Peter Bates with Weaver Brothers Construction, said. “All of us at Weaver Brothers Construction are excited to sponsor the 125-lap race at Claremont. Our family has a history in racing, we raced for many years, running a bunch of different tracks. This partnership with Gregg and GW Promotional Group is a perfect storm for us. I hope this event builds off the opener at Monadnock and the Whitcomb 5 Series continues to grow. We are happy to become the primary sponsor for this event, the Weaver Brothers Construction 125.”

The team with Brattleboro Auto Mall and Fairfield’s Cadillac Buick GMC are also excited about the partnership.

“We’re excited to continue our partnership with GW Promotional Group and the Whitcomb 5 Series at Claremont,” Kelci Lewandowski, Marketing Assistant with the dealerships, said. “We have been impressed with the amount of detail that GW Promotional Group and their entire team is putting into these events. We wish everyone racing at Claremont good luck. We’re all very excited to continue our summer partnership with them.”

On Friday, June 17, the Whitcomb 5 Series returns to action for race two of five in the 2022 season. The 125-lap, $4,000 to win race will be part of a full night of action that also includes the 103 Auto | Heads Up Motorsports Late Model Sportsman, R.E. Hinkley Street Stocks, In City Sugar Shack Mini Stocks, Avery Insurance Six Shooters and LaValley Building Supply Pure Stocks. General admission tickets will be $20 for anyone 13 and up, while seniors 65+ are just $15. Any children 6-12 will be allowed in the grandstands for just $5, while ages five and under are free. Pits will open at 4:30 p.m., with practice beginning at 5:30 p.m., and the first green flag for qualifying at 7:30 p.m.
