LOUDON, N.H. – Doug Coby wheeled the Tommy Baldwin Racing No. 7NY to a seventh-place finish at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Saturday, July 16. Coby started from the second spot in the Whelen 100 and led laps early and was in the mix coming down to the final few laps of the 100-lap event.

However, some contact shuffled Coby back in the lead pack and the driver of the Mayhew Tools machine was able to settle for 7th place at the finish. The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour 100 was part of a full weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway which also included the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series.

The run was Coby’s fifth top-10 finish in five races with Tommy Baldwin Racing this season – a stretch that also includes two victories.

“We had a car that could have won the race,” Coby said. “I was in position towards the end running fourth but it just didn’t work out after the contact. I definitely have to thank all of the Tommy Baldwin Racing team, Mayhew Tools for jumping on board for New Hampshire and all of the other sponsors who made the race possible.”
