Another family fun night of thrills and spills is slated for Riverhead Raceway Saturday July 23rd as the annual Monster Truck Night of Destruction joins a full program of NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series stock car racing. The Late Models will compete in their second Miller LIte Triple Crown Series race of 2022, while the INEX Legend Race Cars return after a week of for their second MLTCS event.

Jack Brady and the staff of KSR Motorsports are hard at work assembling a team of Monster Trucks to make the trip to Long Island to thrill young and old alike. The huge machines will compete in free style competition performing slap wheelies, cyclones and of course crashing cars flatter than a dime. The brute power, tall tires and the sound of cars crushing beneath them making the KSR Motorsports Monster Trucks ultra popular at Riverhead Raceway as well race tracks & county fairs across the country. To add to the fan experience, KSR Motorsports will again be bringing along the popular ride truck for the night. A full blown Monster Truck with seating in the bed that will operate just outside the third turn entrance gate of the track. For a nominal fee fans can take a lap around the track property enjoying the thrill of a lifetime.

Fresh off his July 9th, first career Late Model victory Jimmy Rennick Jr. of Howard Beach is hoping to go back to back Saturday. Opening night winner and current championship leader Anthony Marsh of Riverhead will led the troops back into action riding a 7-point margin over Richie Davidowitz of East Moriches. Davidowitz, the all time leading winner in the class (25) will be seeking his first win of ’22 in the event. Both Jason Castaldo of Shirley and defending champion George Tomko Jr. of Aquebogue have won twice to date. Cam Bolin of York, SC won the first MLTCS 30-lapper back on June 11th and Joey Braun of Manorville have single wins to date.
