After discussions with driver and car owners, track owners, Adam and Rebecca Stewart have decided to add Restricted Winged 600’s micro sprints to compete with the 270 micro sprint exhibition event this Sunday August, 28th at Mountain Creek Speedway. “We had a discussion with the 270 guys and they run them together at their home track, said Adam Stewart. We chatted with some Restricted 600 teams, and they were fine with combining the division for this weekend.”
The plan was put into place a few weeks ago for a first experiment at adding the division. With more improvements being made to Mountain Creek Speedway periodically, the track thought the time would be right to begin adding the classes with the hopes of running 600cc, Restricted 600cc and 270cc micro sprints for the 2023 season. “These teams have been interested in coming here for a while, said Stewart. We’ve been steel plating the walls and we feel like we’re more prepared than we’ve ever been to host micro’s.”
The 270cc and Restricted 600 micro sprints take to the track Sunday, August 28th. Gates open at 12:30pm with practice starting at 3pm. All divisions’ races will be streamed live on www.mountiancreekspeedway.tv at 4pm. The track will also be available for testing and practice days throughout the year.
