Drivers From 11 States, Two Canadian Providence Will Converge on Allentown, PA For the Indoor Auto Racing Series 2023 Season Inaugural Friday and Saturday January 6-7

Allentown, PA – Geographic diversity is the theme for the Indoor Auto Racing Series Fueled By VP Race Fuels season opener. Competitors from 11 different states and two providences of Canada have registered for racing  inside Allentown, PA’s PPL Center on Friday, January 6th and Saturday, January 7th.

Over 100 pre-entries have been received for the Ironton Global sponsored event including 46 in the headline   TQ Midgets. A field of 32 Slingshots and 26 Champ Karts will also compete for starting spots in feature events held for their divisoins on both Friday and Saturday evening.

The state of New York leads all others across the nation with 18 entrants alone in the TQ Midget division. This includes two perennial A Main front runners  and past Series champions, Erick Rudolph of Ransomville and Andy Jankowiak of Tonawanda.

The Keystone State of Pennsylvania has 11 TQ drivers in the field with Tim Buckwalter of Douglassville, PA the top standard bearer. Buckwalter came within a couple of laps of winning the 2022 Indoor Auto Racing Series Fueled By VP championship after winning the prestious Gambler’s Classic in Atlantic City, N.J.

Nine  Garden Staters have filed entries with 2022 Syracuse, N.Y. Indoor winner Anthony Sesely of Matawan, NJ among the most prominent. Sesely will be competing in the PK Chassis TQ Midget he debuted at that event.

New England as a region will be sending six TQ drivers to Allentown for the Indoor Series opener, with NASCAR Modified driver Matt Swanson of Action, CT, rookie Zach Aszklar of Newtown, CT and Derek Robbie of Bellingham, MA among the most prominent.

Past Series champion and Allentown Indoor race winner Ryan Flores of Huntersville, NC, Tyler Fitzpatrick of Columbia, IN, and Charlie Schultz of Olmstead Township, OH are the sole representatives of their states.

The exciting Champ Kart and Slingshot divisions will include races from three other states (Virginia, New Hampshire, Rhode Island) as well as the Canadian Providences of Ontario and Quebec.

Good seats remain for the Allentown race weekend. They can be obtain on line through a link on the show web-site, indoorautoracing.com or at the box office the day of the event.

In Allentown on Friday night , the TQ Midgets will compete in three Ironton Auto Body A-Qualifier main events. The top three in each event locks into the Saturday’s main event and the Dash.   The winner of each of these races will now receive $1,000 thanks to Ironton Auto Body and the Dash winner another $500!

Saturday’s events, sponsored by Future Homes, finds all but the top three finishers in Friday’s Qualifiers lining up in heats and consolation races that fill out the starting field for the 40-lap finale.

Aqua Duck Water Transport, Mahoning Valley Speedway, Pocono Raceway and E. Schneider & Sons have also added special event perks for the racers.

Series point fund sponsors include BELFOR Property Restoration, Hoosier ‘the Official Tire’ of the TQ Midgets & Champ Karts’ and Pa.’s Kutztown Action Track USA.

After Allentown the series then moves to Atlantic City for the 20th year under Len Sammons Productions.  The NAPA KNOW HOW weekend will feature a first ever “Double Down” schedule, with two Gambler’s Classic races for the TQ Midgets being held, one on Friday night and another on Saturday night.

In Atlantic City, TQ Midgets will be joined by the Dirt 600 Micro Sprints, Slingshots and Champ Karts with each of thethree support classes running qualifying events on Friday and a feature on Saturday.
