MAYNARD TROYER CLASSIC 60-LAPS $6,000-TO-WIN ON FRIDAY At Spencer Speedway

 Troyer Manufacturing to Give Away TA3 Chassis, Pay for first 150 Children at Maynard Troyer Classic –

Williamson, N.Y. – (August 23, 2019) – The Maynard Troyer Classic has become one of the most lucrative short track races on any Modified Series schedule. Just 60-laps in distance, $6,000-to-win, over $6,000 in lap money raised by Maynard Troyer’s son, Kenny and now Troyer Manufacturing has stepped to the plate.

Troyer Manufacturing has agreed to pay for the first 150 children through the gate on Friday, August 30, 2019 along with a TA3 chassis being awarded. The winner of the chassis will be drawn by the winner. The entire field will be eligible for the chassis drawing. There will also be a midway display from Troyer Manufacturing.

“Our goal is to keep all of Modified racing healthy,” stated Troyer Manufacturing owner, Rob Fuller. “The health of Modified racing overall regardless of the Series is very critical to our business. With the Race of Champions right here in our backyard, it provides us a tremendous opportunity to emphasize that and with this event, it really hits home and it’s going to be special. It’s an event Maynard (Troyer) would be proud of.”

Maynard Troyer is the Patriarch for the Troyer Race Car brand.  Troyer had an unrivaled racing career, becoming one of the top Modified racers in the history of the sport, competing in Late Models, Super Modifieds, even a NASCAR Winston Cup Car, before creating the brand that carried his name and has defined Modified racing for decades.

The Race of Champions Late Model Series will bring Late Model racing back to action at Spencer as well as the Wilbert’s U-Pull It Super Six division to round out an exciting night of racing.

The “Food Truck Frenzy” featuring local food trucks and tastes from the area will also make its return and give fans the final opportunity of the 2019 season to take part in this unique race track food experience.

The gates open at 5:00 pm at Spencer Speedway for fans, with qualifying to follow at 7:15 pm on Friday, August 30.

3RD ANNUAL TRIBUTE TO KEN HECKLER 51 TO BE FEATURED ON NEW YORK INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY PARK HOME

– 51-LAP Feature on Deck for Lancaster Street Stock Division Saturday –

Lancaster, NY – (August 20, 2019) – New York International Raceway Park, home to Lancaster National Speedway is set to host the 3rd Annual Tribute to Ken Heckler “51” this Saturday.

“This is a big night for us,” stated veteran Street Stock competitor Mark Hoch of Buffalo, N.Y. “51 laps is a long race for us and Ken (Heckler) was a huge part of our division. We are all looking forward to competing in the race and putting on a great show for the fans that come out support this special race.”

In addition lap funds presented by the Heckler family, local Buffalo, N.Y., WECK Radio personality Buddy Shula is offering $300 in random prizes that will be awarded to competitors that night.

The event will also feature the Race of Champions Asphalt Sportsman Modified Series along with the Lancaster Four Cylinders and NYPA T.Q. Midgets.

The Tribute to Ken Heckler “51” at Lancaster begins with qualifying at 6:30pm.

 Long Time Spencer Speedway and Local Business Owner to be Honored at Requests of Family and Friends –

Williamson, N.Y. – (August 20, 2019) – Steve Ross, a former racer and Spencer Speedway enthusiast for decades, as well as a successful local business owner, will be honored at the requests of his family and friends on Friday, August 23rd. Ross, who was a competitor and a sponsor with his businesses, RPM and Ontario Truck and Auto Parts, will be the focal point for the Race of Champions Super Stock Series for their 30-lap feature.

The 30-lap feature will pay $1,000-to-win.

The Race of Champions Sportsman Modified Series, Race of Champions Four Cylinder Dash Series and the Wilbert’s U-Pull It Super Six Series will join the card as part of the Tribute to Steve Ross.
