Jimmy Rennick Jr. and his JCR Motorsports Super Pro Truck team will not only be focusing on a championship run at Riverhead Raceway during the 2017 season. Rennick announced Monday his JCR Motorsports team would be also racing for a very special charity, Helping Kids Make Our Hearts Race, a North Carolina based charity that works with children stricken with Muscular Dystrophy.
“I’m very honored to announce our JCR Motorsports team will be associated with some very special children who have Muscular Dystrophy through the Helping Kids Make Our Hearts Race charity.” Rennick announced. “Once a month we will make a child and his family honorary team members on my Mike’s Heavy Duty Towing Team and we’ll take care of expenses for up to four family members to enter Riverhead Raceway plus food and memorabilia.” Jimmy further explained. After the races the JCR Motorpsports team will play host their honorary teams members in the pits with photos by the #7 Super Pro Truck as well providing team wearing apparel.
“Thomas McCarthy of Hicksville and his family will be out first honorary team members for the month of May and we look foward to hosting them at Riverhead Raceway” Jimmy noted. “We feel this is a great way to give back, we’ve all been blessed and we can’t wait to put a smile on the faces of these very special children and their families”.
Helping Kids Make Our Hearts Race is a 501(C)3 charity that provides children affected by Muscular Dystrophy with a once in a lifetime VIP sports related experience and was founded in 2009 by Bill Montgomery and Charlie Floege. Floege for many years served as a NASCAR Official at Riverhead Raceway prior to relocating to North Carolina with his wife Janet.
The 2017 race season at Riverhead Raceway for Jimmy Rennick Jr. and his JCR Motorsports team will open Saturday night May 6th with the Super Pro Trucks just one of seven divisions in action.
