When Kenny Tremont started his first race who knew he would be making his retirement announcement all these years later at the age of 62. Not only has he raced for decades, but he has also continued to win. At the end of the season Kenny will be calling it quits. The word Legend gets tossed around but in Kenny’s case the description truly fits.

Dozens of track titles, fourteen at Lebanon Valley alone and almost four hundred feature wins later Kenny will be strapping the helmet on one last time in his Big Block Modified at the Lebanon Valley Speedway. Amazingly Kenny won his 142nd Modified feature just last week at the Valley of Speed. Kenny would love to add another Mr. Dirt Track USA 100 Big Block Modified feature to his win list this Saturday night.

After tonight only Albany Saratoga Speedway in Malta NY remains on his schedule. The Super Dirt Series race at Albany Saratoga September 23rd will be the end of a storied career. The race will honor Kenny with a 115 feature with a top prize of $11,500 to win.

Doing some research as to how many wins and where they were is mind boggling. Over 1,400 starts in New York State since 1996 with over 1,700 total starts. Second in starts at the NY State Fairgrounds, first in starts at Lebanon Valley Speedway (631) and Albany Saratoga Speedway (487). Kenny also was successful in the state of Vermont with over 150 starts. One stat that that really stood out was that of 1700 starts Kenny collected 888 top five finishes and an astounding 52% of the races he entered.

Overall, Kenny has raced at 41 tracks from Florida to Canada winning at 12 of them. His Beautifully prepared #115 is as recognizable as any race car that has turned a lap anywhere. But as many who have come before him it is bis time to retire. Kenny’s son Montgomery will still be racing a Small Block at Lebanon Valey Speedway which hopefully means while not racing he will be a fixture at the track long into the future.

If you have never seen Kenny race or would like to see him before he retires, Saturday at Lebanon Valley Speedway, West Lebanon New York is one of your last chances.
