Trenton, NJ – Talented drivers from Sprint Car and Dirt Modified competition will race up from Florida Speed Weeks to compete at the East Coast Indoor Dirt Nationals presented by BELFOR Property Restorations on February 23-24th at the CURE Insurance Arena.

Billy Pauch Jr. of Frenchtown and Anthony Perrego of Middletown, N.Y. are both returning north after a successful week of Super DIRTcar big-block Modified competition at the Volusia Speedway Park.

Pauch, who was a second-place finisher a year ago in Trenton, is the most consistent driver in the history of the event yet he’s not secured a win.  Perrego will be making his first Trenton start driving a No. 4 for Bobby Hentschel.

Young dirt Modified drivers Anthony Tramontana of Vineland and Sammy Martz Jr. of Somerville, both with 600 Sprint experience as well, have both entered as has Dakota Kessler.

Briggs Danner of Allentown, PA and Alex Bright of Collegeville, PA will be coming to Trenton fresh off USAC National Sprint Car competition success in Florida.

Danner is coming off a great start to the season which included a podium finish in the Gambler’s Classic in a TQ Midget inside Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall and consistent top finishes with USAC in Florida that have landed him in the top five in points.

Bright, a runner-up in the first East Coast Dirt National, will be Trenton bound after a solid top ten finish in USAC competitioin. He’ll be joined by USAC East series regulars Kenny Miller III, Christopher Allen and Bobby Butler who are entered for Trenton competition.

Tim Buckwalter, the defending race winner at Trenton is one of the most active drivers in all of auto racing. He’s returning from USAC Sprint competition in Florida after having raced already in 2024 in Allentown, PA, Tulsa, OK and Atlantic City, N.J.

A 600 Sprint regular at Kutztown, PA’s Action Track, Buckwalter gave that division it’s third win in four races at Trenton last year. The Douglasville, PA racer, however is far more versatile, he also races Dirt Modifieds, Sprint Cars, SpeedSTRS, Midgets and TQ Midgets so it could be seen as a win for each division!

Staten Island, N.Y. 600 Sprint driver Whitey Kidd III won the first in 2017. Kidd, an alias being used by Rob Vivona, lost an eight year battle with cancer days after last year’s event. In his memory, the winner’s trophy for this event will now be annually dedicated in his name.

Jon Keller gave the 600 Sprint regulars a second victory in 2020 and the first and only score for a driver from New Jersey.   Keller and Stephen Snyder of Rising Sun, MD lead a strong contingent of full-time 600 Sprint drivers. Snyder won a northeast high 13 time in the division last year.

On Saturday, the doors of the CURE Insurance Arena open at 4 PM with a top driver autograph session on the concourse starting at 5 PM. Qualifying Events start at 6 PM with intense “alphabet soup” twin E, D, and C-Mains transfer races that advance the top four from each race to the next letter

Twin B Mains, each 15 laps long, then determining who joins the final 24-car field for the 50 lap $5,000 to win finale.

Friday’s schedule calls for the intense “Last Chance Qualifiers”, four A-Scrambles, two B-mains and a new to the event 25-lap A-main.

Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.com or indoorautoracing.com. Tickets are also available daily and the days of the event at the arena box office.
