Series debut at Kennedale on March 23 is next.
With persistent rainfall throughout Thursday and heavy thunderstorms overnight into Friday, bringing more than an inch of rain to Big O Speedway, according to Precision Weather Service, World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car and track officials have agreed to cancel the Bluebonnet Showdown.
The decision comes after consulting with Wayne Mahar of Precision Weather Service. Keeping the safety of traveling fans and teams in mind, along with the knowledge of the track’s grounds unable to handle continued rain, the decision to cancel was made.
If you purchased a ticket in advance for Friday’s Big O Speedway race, you will receive a face-value credit to your MyDirtTickets.com account – good for two years – to be used toward any World of Outlaws event available at WorldofOutlaws.com/tix.
