Mooresville, NC (April 18th, 2024) – There are two Superspeedway races on the ARCA Racing Series schedule each year. The season kicks off at Daytona International Speedway (FL) and then visits Talladega Superspeedway (AL) in the middle of the spring.
Andy Jankowiak and the #73 KLAS Motorsports team had a great race going to start the year at Daytona. Jankowiak was fighting for the lead late in the event and lined up inside the top five for the final restart. Unfortunately, a multi-car wreck took him out of contention for the victory and Jankowiak finished tenth with a badly damaged racecar.
The performance showed the potential for the pairing though and KLAS Motorsports used that as inspiration to prepare even harder for this weekend’s race at Talladega. To help with that goal, the team also joined forces with a new primary sponsor for the event. Acacia Energy has signed a multi-race sponsorship deal with the team starting at Talladega.
“Our goal is to rekindle the magic from Daytona and to show up for Talladega capable of winning,” said team manager and co-owner Andy Seuss. “We rebuilt the car, put a new body on it and worked on every detail that we could to make it as same or better as it was before the Daytona wreck. We are really looking forward to this race.”
Acacia Energy is a Texas-based electricity provider specializing in prepaid energy plans. They offer pay-as-you-go billing for month-to-month electricity plans without credit checks or security deposits. For more information, please visit AcaciaEnergy.com.
Whelen Engineering will also be a significant marketing partner for the Talladega race. Its familiar logo will adorn the quarter panels of the #73.
The KLAS Motorsports family of marketing partners also includes Automotive Consultants of Ithaca, NY (Selling new cars at wholesale prices since 1959), Yukon Creek Sportsman Club (a free-of-charge hunting camp in upstate NY for the disabled), Florida Safety Systems (Andy J and KLAS Motorsports supporters), Dak’s Market, PlanterBoxDirect.com (Durable metal planter boxes shipped to your door), Thermal Foams and Rusty Diamond Cores LLC.
The KLAS Motorsports team and Jankowiak will compete at Talladega Superspeedway on Saturday, April 17th for the General Tire 200. The event will be televised live on FS1 and on the Fox Sports app with a post time of 12:30pm ET.
