FREEDOM WEEKEND OF RACING FEATURES SPORTSMAN 38 & MODIFIED 76 – SEPTEMBER 20 & 21

BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – Grandview Speedway will be presenting a NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series program this Saturday featuring the T.P. Trailer NASCAR Modifieds and the T.P. Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman along with a first time visit by the Pro4 Racing Series.

The show on Saturday, August 24 will include qualifying events leading into a 30-lap T.P. Trailer Modified feature, a 25-lap feature for the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman, and a 25-lap feature for the Pro4 Racing Series Four Cylinder cars.

The Pro4 Racing Series will make its first ever visit to the Berks County one-third-of-a-mile raceway, and are sponsored by Hauser’s Truck Service, Rowan Enterprises, Frederick Chevrolet, Be Smart Home Inspections, and Quality Machine.

This Saturday night prior to the racing program will be the Low Down and Dirty meet and greet hosted by Whippy and Jennifer Umbenhauer. The drivers scheduled to participate include Modified drivers Tim Buckwalter and Kyle Smith along with Sportsman driver Adrianna Delliponti.

The pre-race Meet and Greet is held in the main gate area from 5-6 pm and is a great time for fans to meet the drivers up close, collect some autographs, take photos, and talk racing with their favorite drivers before the night’s program gets underway.

Saturday’s program will have yet another extra for the fans, as the monthly Trivia night contest will be held, where fans can win cool prizes for correctly answering questions about Grandview Speedway racing.

Adult grandstand admission is $20, students 10-15 with ID are $10, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members and $45 for non-members.

Pit gates will open at 4 pm. with grandstand gates opening at 5:30 pm. warm-ups starting at 6:15 pm. and the first race of the evening getting the green flag at 7:30 pm.

Just four nights of point race competition remain in the 2024 racing season at Grandview Speedway, and the drivers will be chasing the valuable championship points trying to make the top ten spots in the standings, while other drivers are still searching for a feature victory.

T.P. Trailer Modified feature winners so far this year have been Brett Kressley with five, Louden Reimert with three, Mike Mahaney, John Willman, Bobby Trapper Jr., Nate Brinker, Cody Manmiller and Ryan Watt all with one win each. Eric Kormann and Doug Manmiller have also recorded wins during Thunder on the Hill series action.

These drivers will be in action while top point drivers Jeff Strunk, Craig Von Dohren, Mike Gular, Eddie Strada, Duane Howard, Jared Umbenhauer, Tim Buckwalter and others will be looking to maintain their positions or improve their positions in the championship point standings during action this Saturday night.

The T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman division is led by point leader Logan Watt, who is looking for his second title, and Gavyn Krupp who have two wins each, followed by drivers with one win each including Kenny Bock, Brian Hirthler, Mark Kemmerer, Jesse Landis, Addison Meitzler, Colton Perry, Zach Steffey, Jared LaBagh, Dylan Swinehart  and Alex Bartorillo.

These drivers will be in action looking for another win along with top point drivers Mike Schneck Jr., Adrianna Delliponti, Brett Gilmore, Jesse Hirthler, Ryan Graver, Logan Bauman, and three dozen drivers who will be looking to maintain or improve in the point race while in competition this Saturday night.

The Freedom weekend of racing is fast approaching, and will include the 11th annual Freedom 38 T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman Championship on Friday, September 20, in addition to rounds of Modified practice for the following day’s Freedom 76 championship race.

Then on Saturday, September 21 will be the presentation of the 54th annual Freedom 76 Modified Classic for the T.P. Trailer Modifieds, competing in their longest and most lucrative race event of the season.

Modified driver Bobby Gunther-Walsh and several of his race team sponsors including Drs. Eric Lebby and Thomas DiBenedetto Orthopedic Specialists, Eden East Designs, Res-Q-Natural Supplements, Just Born Confections, and Agentis Plumbing have posted two bonuses for the Freedom 76 championship race.

They have all combined to post the Freedom 76 Hard Charger award of $1776, for the driver who advances the most positions from scheduled starting spot to finishing position in the championship race.

Another award of $276 will also be posted for either a Hard Luck award or non-qualifier during the Freedom 76 race night as decided by track officials.

Lap sponsorships, at $20 per lap, are now available for the September 21 running of the Freedom 76 T.P. Trailer Modified Championship race. It is a great way to wish your favorite driver good luck or advertise a business during the big race event.

Laps that are sponsored are read on the public address system and posted on social media leading up to the big event and on championship race weekend.
