After a steady rain and the forecast for more poor weather in the area later Sunday evening, NASCAR has officially called for the Firekeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway to resume Monday morning at 11 a.m. ET (USA Network, MRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).

Hendrick Motorsports driver Chase Elliott was leading the NASCAR Cup Series race under caution when cars were called to pit road and the race was stopped following Stage 1 with 52 of the 200 laps complete. Team Penske driver Ryan Blaney – the reigning series champion – won the opening stage.

Three races remain to decide the NASCAR Cup Series regular season championship and which 16 drivers will qualify for the 10-race Playoff that begins Sept. 8 in Atlanta.
