Mooresville, NC (September 12th, 2024) – This week, the theme for the KLAS Motorsports team, with driver Andy Jankowiak, as they head to Watkins Glen International (NY) for Friday’s ARCA Racing Series event is familiarity.

While the famed road course at Watkins Glen might not seem very familiar on an ARCA schedule of mostly oval track races, the event will feature some recognizable sights for Jankowiak and the KLAS team.

First off, the team’s #73 entry will feature the iconic livery of Whelen Engineering for the race.  It will mark the third time that Jankowiak flies the Whelen flag for an ARCA race at Watkins Glen.  He finished 22nd there in 2022 while driving his own car and then improved that position to seventh last season in the inaugural campaign for KLAS Motorsports.

Additionally, the Watkins Glen course is the only ARCA race in Jankowiak’s home state of New York.  He is a native of Tonawanda, New York – a suburb of Buffalo.  The Watkins Glen race is a chance for Jankowiak to welcome a contingent of family, friends, supporters and fans in person to the track.

The #73 team has qualified in the top ten for the last four ARCA Menards Series events that they have contested and hope to continue that streak when time trails begin at 3:15pm ET on Friday.

KLAS Motorsports is supported by a full lineup of sponsors and partners.  Acacia Energy has been a season long partner with KLAS Motorsports in 2024 and will be featured prominently at Watkins Glen. Acacia Energy is a Texas-based electricity provider specializing in prepaid energy plans. They offer pay-as-you-go billing for month-to-month electricity plans without credit checks or security deposits. For more information, please visit AcaciaEnergy.com.

The KLAS Motorsports team will also have support from several New York based sponsors for the Watkins Glen race including local car dealership Automotive Consultants – which is located in nearby Ithaca and has been doing business in the area since 1959. Yukon Creek Sportsman Club is a Western New York charitable organization offering free hunting trips designed to accommodate those with disabilities. Long time supporters Thermal Foams Inc. of Kenmore will be represented at Watkins Glen as well at the next race on the schedule at Bristol Motor Speedway.

The newest sponsor for KLAS Motorsports will be the Western New York based Latina Boulevard Foods – who will also be supplying lunch for team as they embark on the challenge ahead of them at Watkins Glen this Friday evening.

In addition to our many New York based supporters, the #73 will carry the Florida Safety Systems colors on the tail panel through the continued support of business owners Todd and Jodi.

The KLAS Motorsports team and Jankowiak will compete at Watkins Glen International on Friday, September 13th for the General Tire 100 ARCA Racing Series event.  The event will be televised live on FS1 and on the Fox Sports app with a post time of 5pm ET.
