The focus shifts to next weekend’s $75,000-to-win Weis Markets National Open presented by Sage Fruit
With persistent showers hitting Hartford, OH Saturday evening and weather models projecting steady rain throughout the night, World of Outlaws NOS Energy Sprint Car and track officials have agreed to cancel Sharon Speedway’s Federated Auto Parts Showdown.
The showers came as a result of remnants from Hurricane Helene shifting course toward Sharon Speedway. The decision to cancel comes with guidance from Precision Weather Service, who have closely monitored the hurricane throughout the week.
If you purchased a ticket in advance for the Federated Auto Parts Showdown, you will receive a face-value credit to your MyDirtTickets.com account – good for two years – to be used toward any World of Outlaws event available at WorldofOutlaws.com/tix. If a credit to your account does not work for you, then you have until Oct. 28 to request a refund.
If you purchased a ticket or pit pass at the race track, please mail the ticket or wristband to 7575 W Winds Blvd NW Ste D, Concord, NC 28027 in an envelope postmarked by October 28 for a refund.
The Series now shifts its focus to one of Sprint Car Racing’s crown jewels. Williams Grove Speedway’s Weis Markets National Open presented by Sage Fruit (Oct. 4-5) serves up a $75,000-to-win/$2,500-to-start finale as the World of Outlaws and PA Posse battle for big money and bragging rights.
