Dense Fog Postpones Remainder of WEIS Markets National Open presented by Sage Fruit Prelim

The remainder of Friday’s program will be completed before Saturday’s $75,000-to-win National Open finale

With thick fog blanketing Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night and causing visibility issues for the drivers, World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars and track officials have agreed to postpone the remainder of Friday’s portion of the Weis Markets National Open presented by Sage Fruit with competitor safety in mind.

The rest of the event will be completed on Saturday, Oct. 5 prior to the $75,000-to-win/$2,500-to-start National Open finale. The pit gate will open at 1:00 p.m., the front gate at 3:00 p.m., and Hot Laps will begin at 4:00 p.m. for the completion of Friday’s portion. This sets up a doubleheader featuring one of Sprint Car racing’s crown jewels.

If you purchased reserved or general admission tickets for Friday, they can be used for entry to the remaining portion that will be completed on Saturday. If you purchased a pit pass, it can be used for entry for the remainder of Friday’s portion but must be swapped for a new band at the pit gate. Upon the completion of Friday’s portion, the grandstands and pits will be swept, and Saturday tickets will be required for re-entry.Saturday only ticket holders can purchase general admission or reserved tickets for Friday’s portion at the gate.

David Gravel currently sits atop the standings in pursuit of his first championship with Carson Macedo within striking distance 90 points behind.
