Hurricane Relief Drive Continues Wednesday

WHAT:

In an ongoing effort to support those still recovering from the impact of Hurricane Helene, Charlotte Motor Speedway will continue its donation drive on Wednesday, Oct. 23 and Wednesday, Oct. 30. Volunteers from NASCAR and area race teams will join speedway volunteers to collect items of need from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Items will be sorted and transported to North Wilkesboro Speedway or shared with distribution centers across western North Carolina.

WHEN:

Donations will be collected from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23 and Wednesday, Oct. 30.

DETAILS:

Thanks to generous donations, distribution centers are currently NOT in need of water, diapers and used clothing. Requested items are:

  • NEW thermal clothes
  • Insulated gloves and boots
  • Generators
  • Propane
  • Laundry detergent/dish soap
  • Multivitamins/over-the-counter medications
  • Extension cords and box fans
  • Portable heaters
  • Storage totes
  • Carbon monoxide detectors
