Oaks, PA (Thursday, January 23, 2025) – With the vast majority of the setup work completed Thursday for the 2025 Pioneer Pole Buildings Motorsports Show at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA, doors are set to swing open Friday, January 24 at 2:00 PM for two days of non-stop auto racing fun.
For 38 years, the PPB Motorsports Show has reigned as the premier event for motorsports enthusiasts, with a vast array of racing displays, exhibits, and competitions. From legendary race cars to cutting-edge technology and everything in between, this year’s show is shaping up to be an unforgettable experience for fans of all ages.
The PPB Motorsports 2025 show will celebrate the 50th anniversary of NASCAR Hall of Fame crew chief Ray Evernham’s racing career. The former New Jersey Modified racer will be on hand, along with Bill Elliott, NASCAR Cup Series champion and Hall of Famer.
Evernham’s 50 years in racing will be celebrated on both days of the Motorsports show. the NASCAR Hall of Fame crew chief and car owner will take the stage both days and be available for autographs and signings of his newly released book, “Trophies and Scars” which will be available for purchase.
Evernham’s wife, Erin Crocker-Evernham, will also be featured as part of the Women in Racing celebration at the show. Erin made history 20 years ago by becoming the first woman to win a World of Outlaws Sprint Car race, a feat that still stands today.
Elliott, who won the Brickyard 400 driving a Dodge No. 9 owned by Evernham, will sign autographs and participate in a special Friday night show with Evernham before the Ms. Motorsports competition and will also be signing autographs on Saturday afternoon.
Several special race cars from Evernham’s personal collection will be on display during the show along with over 200 race cars, all kinds on display, speedway and series exhibits, a large Hard Core Racer section and collectible displays, and a full schedule of free racer seminars.
The Aqua Duck Water Transport-sponsored Ms. Motorsports competition will cap off Friday’s activities at 8 PM.
Thanks to the generous support of Todd Baer, president of Aqua Duck Water Transport, the prize pool for the Ms. Motorsports competition has been increased.
The winner will receive $2,500, first runner-up $750 and second runner-up $500. A fan choice of best in swimwear will receive $1,000.
Reigning Ms. Motorsports 2024, Meghan Williams, will return to crown her successor.
Following the competition, there will be a special post-event party at the Hilton Garden Inn banquet room, conveniently located on the same property. The evening will feature live music, food, and beverages, giving attendees a chance to mingle and celebrate the competition’s top contestants.
Additionally, the Little Miss competition is planned for Saturday afternoon, along with the annual RAACE Foundation-sponsored Big Wheel races.
Attendees will have the chance to watch the intense Engine Teardown and Tire Change challenges, as well as participate in the action themselves. These events are sure to add a new level of excitement to the already-packed show.
On the hour, starting at 3:00 PM on Friday at 11 AM on Saturday, the Engine Teardown Competition will put the skills of the next generation of mechanics to the test. Students from the York County School of Technology’s Hot Rodders of Tomorrow program will compete in teams of five to see who can disassemble and reassemble a Chevy 350 engine in the fastest time—using nothing but basic hand tools.
During the competition, volunteers in the crowd will also have the opportunity to try their hand at a Spark Plug Challenge, where they’ll race to remove the exhaust manifold, wires, and spark plugs from one side of the engine. It’s a perfect chance for aspiring mechanics to get involved and experience the thrill of engine work!
Fans will also witness the Tire Change Competition, which will bring the excitement of pit stops to the show floor. Sponsored by American Racer Tire and Vahlco Wheels, this challenge will feature two-person teams racing against the clock to change right-side tires on a Dirt Modified car. The competition finals will take place from 3:15 PM to 4:15 PM on Saturday with the fastest teams from the preliminary rounds facing off in the exciting finals.
The top ten teams, who have qualified during the show’s preliminary rounds, will compete for a grand prize of at least $500. In addition, the top three teams will each walk away with a coveted American Racer Tire and Vahlco Wheel. The preliminary rounds will be held throughout the show, and any team can compete for just $5 per attempt. Competitors can try as many times as they want until 3:00 PM Saturday to secure their spot in the finals.
On Saturday afternoon, the show will feature the RAACE Foundation Big-Wheel Races, which have drawn record entries in past years, as well as the return of the Little Miss Motorsports Competition.
The popular Racers Seminars will also return in an expanded seminar room, offering educational opportunities for motorsports enthusiasts.
PPB Motorsports show hours are Friday, January 24th from 2 PM – 9 PM & Saturday, January 25th from 10 AM – 7 PM. Tickets are available at the box office starting one hour before the show opens each day.
