Abbottstown, PA (February 23, 2025) – After falling back on the initial start, Chase Dietz rebounded in spectacular fashion, charging through the field to capture the feature win at Lincoln Speedway on Sunday, February 23 at the Ice Breaker presented by Tyson Fence. Dietz’s win came in his first race with his new team, Stehman Motorsports.

Dietz, who started on the pole, slipped to fifth at the drop of the green flag as Gerard McIntyre took control of the race with Danny Dietrich and Jeff Halligan in pursuit. Dietrich powered into the lead on lap nine, just before lapped traffic came into play. Meanwhile, Dietz began to find his rhythm, working his way back into contention.

By lap 16, Dietz made his move on McIntyre, sliding into the runner-up spot going into turn three. As Dietrich battled lapped traffic, Dietz began to close the gap, both drivers favoring the high side of the speedway. A late-race adjustment saw Dietrich try the low line in turns 1 and 2, allowing Dietz to gain even more ground.

The battle for the lead intensified, with Dietz pulling alongside Dietrich coming out of turn four, but Dietrich held on. A strong run off turn 2 gave Dietz the momentum he needed, and he surged ahead out of turn four, taking the lead on lap 23.

Troy Wagaman moved into third as Dietz navigated lapped traffic, but a late-race caution with three laps to go threatened to shake things up. McIntyre and Tyler Ross tangled, with McIntyre—who had led the opening eight laps—coming to a stop in turn 2.

On the final restart, Dietz got a strong jump. Dietrich made one last charge with two to go, but Dietz was too strong, crossing the finish line 1.115 seconds ahead for the victory.

The top five finishers were Chase Dietz, Danny Dietrich, Troy Wagaman, Brent Marks, and Aaron Bollinger.

Next Saturday, March 1, Lincoln Speedway is back in action with the 410 Sprints and PA Micro Midgets. Racing is scheduled for 3PM with pit gates opening at 12:30PM and grandstand gates opening at 1PM.
