Andy Jankowiak Has Contended for Victory in the Past Two ARCA Menards Series Openers, Now He Just Needs a Little Bit of Good Luck

Mooresville, NC (February 11th, 2025) – If the season opening event for the ARCA Menards Series was the ARCA 150 at Daytona International Speedway (FL), the KLAS Motorsports team would have a stellar record in their two-year history as a team.  In both 2023 and 2024, Andy Jankowiak had the team’s #73 entry running in the lead pack late in the going at Daytona. Both years, he was contending for the victory.  Unfortunately, he got caught up in multi-car wrecks not of his own doing both times.

In 2023, things turned sour with just 18 laps to go.  Jankowiak qualified fifth in the debut race for the team, but was eliminated before a great finish could materialize.  Last season, Jankowiak was running in the lead pack on the final restart.  The FOX Sports broadcast team even interviewed Jankowiak about his chances for victory under caution with two laps to go.

“I’m not going to lift until I see either God or the checkered flag,” said Jankowiak with a quote that soon went viral and found its way onto t-shirts.

And while those two strong runs gave the team hope and gathered attention from race fans, the ultimate prize would be a Daytona victory.

This Saturday, that is exactly what KLAS Motorsports and Jankowiak hope to achieve in the Ride the ‘Dente 200 at Daytona.

The team has been hard at work fine-tuning their #73 Ford since placing it in the top ten last month in a pre-season test session at Daytona.

It’s been busy behind the scenes with the team as well.  Phillips 66 Lubricants will be featured on the hood of the #73 as a new marketing partner for KLAS Motorsports.  Acacia Energy returns to quarter panels of the car for the event.

Gladiator Fence and Suntric Renewable Energy will also debut as partners of the team for the Daytona event.  Loyal marketing partners Automotive Consultants of Ithaca, Dak’s Market, Florida Safety Systems, Mike Sells Golf Carts, Yukon Creek Sportsman Club, Whelen Engineering Company, Inc. and Latina Boulevard Foods will return to the team as well.

The 2025 ARCA Menards Series Ride the ‘Dente 200 will air live on the Fox network at Noon ET on February 15th.  It will mark the first live television network appearance for the ARCA Menards Series.  The event will also be broadcast live on the Fox Sports app.
