Sadler-Stanley Racing looks to defend the king crown this Saturday at South Boston Speedway.

Last year, driver Luke Baldwin captured the King of the Modifieds race win with the SMART Modified Tour, hoisting the trophy, wearing the robe and putting on the crown as King of the Modifieds, his first career Tour-Type Modified win.

This week, it’s the second annual King of the Modifieds. Baldwin will look to make it back-to-back crowns, while team driver Jonathan Cash will also look to take it away from him and keep it inside the Sadler-Stanley Racing stable.

Both drivers will enter in their Pace-O-Matic, PSR Products machines.

“I’m excited to get back to South Boston Speedway with an event that means a lot to me,” Baldwin said. “It’s going to be a tough race with some big names. It’s a special race for me at one of my favorite race tracks. I’m confident in our race car after the test session we had there. We should be fast – I just have to keep my head down, make no mistakes… and I think we will have a shot at it.”

“I’m really looking forward to getting back to home track at South Boston,” Jonathan Cash said. “The PSR guys brought a fast car to the test last week. Hopefully we can carry that over to the weekend and find victory lane with Pace-O-Matic and Sadler-Stanley Racing in the King of the Modifieds.”

The schedule at South Boston Speedway is a two-day show for the SMART Modified Tour. Friday includes practice from 1:30-2:10 p.m. and 2:30-3:10 p.m., followed by qualifying at 5 p.m. On Saturday, the Pace-O-Matic Pit Party will take place at 11:45 a.m. and the green flag for the King of the Modifieds 125 is slated for around 3 p.m. The event will air live on FloRacing.TV.
