Red Bull Partnership Now Seven Races With Van Gisbergen and Zilisch

Concord, North Carolina – Trackhouse Racing announced today that 18-year-old Connor Zilisch will make his second career NASCAR Cup Series start driving the No. 87 Red Bull Chevrolet in the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 25.

“It’s awesome to have the opportunity to race in one of NASCAR’s coolest events,” Zilisch said. “The Charlotte 600 is one of the most prestigious races in NASCAR. It’s going to be a physical and mental challenge because that race is so tough. I’m very appreciative for (Trackhouse owner and founder) Justin (Marks) and everyone at Red Bull for their support and turning this opportunity into a reality.”

Zilisch, a Trackhouse Racing development driver, is racing full-time in the Xfinity Series for JR Motorsports. He scored his first Xfinity victory of the season at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas on March 1. One day later the Mooresville, N.C., native made the first start of his Cup Series career driving the No. 87 Red Bull Chevrolet. Zilisch ran well until an accident just past the event’s halfway mark. Most recently Zilisch won his second pole position of the 2025 Xfinity Series season on March 28 at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway.

Zilisch stormed onto the NASCAR racing scene in 2024, signing as a Red Bull athlete and going on to compile an impressive resume that includes winning his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut at Watkins Glen International plus two Craftsman Truck Series poles, victories at the Rolex 24 in Daytona, the Twelve Hours of Sebring, four ARCA races and a CARS Tour event.

Red Bull is the official energy drink of Trackhouse Racing and a primary partner on Shane van Gisbergen’s No. 88 Chevrolet.
Van Gisbergen drove the familiar Red Bull paint scheme at the March 16 race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and will again on July 13 at Sonoma (Calif.) Raceway, Aug. 3 at Iowa Speedway, Aug. 23 at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway and Sept. 28 at Kansas Speedway.
