Williamson, N.Y. – (May 21, 2025) – Race of Champions management has announced the postponement of the 35th Annual Tribute to Tommy Druar and Tony Jankowiak 110, originally scheduled for this Friday, May 23, at Spencer Speedway. The event will now take place on Friday, July 11, 2025.
The decision was made in response to the ongoing inclement weather pattern, predicted precipitation, and unseasonably cold temperatures, as well as current track conditions.
The 70th Annual Season Opener at Spencer Speedway in Williamson, N.Y., will now be held on Friday, June 6, headlined by the Race of Champions Sportsman Modified Series.
“We recognize that we’re making this call earlier than usual,” stated Joe Skotnicki, Race of Champions. “But there are multiple factors at play—primarily giving people time to adjust their Memorial Day weekend plans, as well as considering the saturated grounds at the facility. The weather just isn’t cooperating with our early season schedule.”
Skotnicki also confirmed that the Tribute to Tommy Druar and Tony Jankowiak will remain a key part of the schedule.
“In agreement with the Druar and Jankowiak families, we’ve selected July 11 as the final opportunity to hold the 35th annual event before the 35th and 36th editions are potentially combined in August of 2025. This tribute means a great deal to everyone involved, and we’re committed to running it in a meaningful way.”
Honoring Marylin Toal
In place of racing activity this Friday, drivers, teams, and fans are encouraged to honor the memory of Marylin Toal on social media. Marylin passed away earlier this week and was a cherished part of the Race of Champions community for decades. Her support and presence left a lasting impact on the Series and its racers.
