(Minersville, PA 5-26-25) Big Diamond Speedway is gearing up for two exciting days of racing within a five-day stretch starting with this coming Friday evening, May 30, and again on Tuesday evening, June 3, when the Super DIRTcar Series comes to town for the Anthracite Assault.
Friday’s action will be headed by the Quandel Concrete 358 Modifieds racing in a 25-lap/$6000-to-win feature. The USS Achey Inc., 602 Crate Sportsman, Red White and Blue Autos Inc., Roadrunners and Big Creek Concrete Rookie 602 Crate Sportsman fill out the race card.

Despite the racing season starting in April, only two features have been completed for the 602 Crate Sportsman due to numerous rainouts. Colin Cox leads Matt Martino by three points. Cox won the first race, while Adrianna Delliponti secured her first Modified and Big Diamond victory in the Crate Classic.
The postponed Thaw Brawl for the 602 Crate Sportsman will be run on Friday, June 6.
The Roadrunners have had three races with different winners each time which include TJ Fitzpatrick, Kody Sites, and Jarod Bassininsky.
To date Riece Widger has scored two wins in three starts with the Rookies with Hunter Bowers taking the other.
Friday’s pit gates open at 5:00 pm and grandstands at 5:30. Hot laps start at 7:15 followed by qualifying heats. Adult general admission is $20, and kids 16 and under are free. Pits are $35 for members and $45 for non-members.
Tuesday evening the “Beasts of the Northeast” invade the 3/8-mile dirt oval as the stars and cars of the Super DIRTcar Series Big Block Modifieds will be heading to Big Diamond Speedway for a 75-lap/$7500-to-win showdown event. They will be joined by the Roadrunners.
Last year Stewart Friesen returned to the Red White and Blue Autos Inc., Victory Lane for the first time in 13 years, winning over Anthony Perrigo, Matt Sheppard, Mat Williamson and Ryan Godown.
Former Big Diamond Sportsman champion and 358 Modified winner Alex Yankowski currently sits atop the points with the Super DIRTcar Series, holding a slight edge over Williamson and Alex Payne.
