Ready to Get it on: Madsen Overhead Doors Sportsman North Region Starts May 25 at Brookfield

BROOKFIELD, NY – Ready to get it on.

Brookfield Speedway opens its 2025 season – and the Madsen Overhead Doors Inc. Sportsman North Region of the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco – this Sunday, May 25.

A widened racing groove by 12 feet – and loads of fresh clay – await competitors attending this Sunday’s ‘Fast Cars & Freedom’ special on the historic Madison County Fairgrounds.

Points begin for the STSS Sportsman Madsen Overhead Doors Inc. North Region with a 25-lap, $1,500-to-win event on the agenda.

The STSS Sportsman program launched its North and South championship chases in 2018. North Region champions have included Tom Collins Jr. (2018), Tim Hartman Jr. (2019), COVID-19 restrictions (2020), Tim Hartman Jr. (2021), Steve Davis (2022), Joe Toth (2023) and Payton Talbot (2024).

Past STSS Sportsman winners at Brookfield include Michael Ballestero (2024) and Blaine Klinger (2023).

Joining the STSS Sportsman on the eve of Memorial Day at Brookfield include the Hustle the Highway 600 Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Slingshots, Four Cylinders and a nightcap 50-lap Enduro event.

Gates open on Sunday at 4 p.m., with hot laps at 6 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m.

Adult grandstand admission is $15. Kids 8 and under are admitted FREE.

Pit admission is $40. Kids 11 and under pay $10.

A rain date of Monday, May 26 is in place for this event if needed.

Brookfield will host a schedule of six special events in ’25 scheduled from April through late October.
