BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – With weather forecasts calling for heavy thunderstorms by late afternoon, and continuing through race time during the evening hours throughout the region, Grandview Speedway management was left with the difficult decision to once again cancel the scheduled race events for Saturday night May 3.

The race program was to be the second NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series point race of the season for the T.P. Trailer Modified and T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman division drivers in the chase for the championships, as well as the first Saturday night appearance for the Pro 4 Racing Series Four Cylinder stock cars in a race program sponsored by PWD Lubricants of Warminster, Pa.

It was the fourth rain cancellation in the first five weeks of the 2025 racing campaign, after rain also claimed the events on April 5, 12 and 26. PWD Lubricants night at the races will be rescheduled for a later date.

The Pro 4 Racing Series Four Cylinders will be rescheduled to join the T.P. Trailer Modified and T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman on Saturday, May 31 starting at 7:30 pm.

This is not a normal situation, however rain claimed four of the first five race events to start the year in April of 2023, before the weather finally settled down and the season got rolling.

Grandview Speedway hopes the weather turns around with two events scheduled for next weekend, as action begins on Friday, May 9 featuring the Outlaw Racing Series Enduro and Outlaw Racing Series Vintage Cars in action along with the Xcel 600 Modifieds starting at 7 pm.

On Friday night pit gates open at 2 pm, with grandstand gates opening at 6 pm. Grandstand admission will be $10, with children ages 12 and under admitted for free. Pit admission is $30 for the Friday event.

Racing action next Saturday, May 10 will be a double-header for the T.P. Trailer Modifieds and the T. P. Truck Equipment Sportsman, which includes qualifying events for both divisions leading up to the 30-lap T.P. Trailer Modified and 25-lap T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman feature events.

Pit gates will open at 3 pm, with grandstand gates opening at 4:30 pm, warm-ups starting at 5:30 pm, and the first race of the evening getting the green flag at 6:30 pm.

Grandstand admission for Adults is $20, Students ages 10-15 with ID are $10, while ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 with a license and $45 without a license.

The first Thunder on the Hill race program is right around the corner on Tuesday, May 20, as Levan Machine & Truck Equipment presents the Rich Mar Florist Kubota High Limit 410 Sprints.

This special mid-week event will see the Rich Mar Florist Kubota High Limit 410 Sprints in the Roto-Rooter Mid-Week Series. The program includes Time Trials, and qualifying events leading up to the 35-lap feature event that pays $20,000 to win and $1500 to start the main event. The program also includes the Alpine Building Supply Vintage Cars in action with two 12-lap feature events.

General admission tickets on race night are $40 for adults, children 6-11 are $20, children 5 and under will be admitted for free.   The Pit Fee is $45 and a license is not required.   (Pit tickets are not available at Ticket Hoss).

Advance tickets for the May 20 event are available at TicketHoss.com. Advance ticket holders get to enter the grandstand at 4:30 pm, followed by general admission tickets going on sale and main gates opening at 5 pm. Time trials start at 7 pm, with the show set to start at 7:30 pm. A rain date of Wednesday, May 21 is in place if needed.
