BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – Grandview Speedway management, fans, and competitors are all looking for sunshine and dry weather for this Saturday night!

Following the seventh weather/rain out last week, Grandview Speedway is preparing for this Saturday night to present another NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series double-header program featuring the T.P. Trailer NASCAR Modifieds and the T.P. Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman.

The show on Saturday, June 14 will include qualifying events for both classes leading into a 30-lap T.P. Trailer Modified feature and a 25-lap feature for the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman.

Rain checks or pit wristbands from May 17 may be used for the June 14 program, as this will be the last program to use the May 17 rainchecks.

Pit gates will open at 4 pm, with grandstand gates opening at 5:30 pm, warm-ups starting at 6:15 pm, and the first race of the evening getting the green flag at 7:30 pm.

Adult grandstand admission is $20, students 10-15 with ID are $10, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members and $45 for non-members

The Thunder on the Hill Racing Series will be presenting their second 2025 event on Tuesday, June 17, as Levan Machine & Truck Equipment presents the Jesse Hockett Classic USAC National Sprint Cars in the Eastern Storm series opener.

This racing program will include time trials and qualifying events for the USAC Sprints leading up to the 40-lap feature event that pays $6000 to win. The program also includes the 358 Modifieds with qualifying events and a 30-lap $3000 to win feature, that could pay an added $2000 from Alpine Building Supply if the winning driver is a first time Thunder Series winner.

The Thunder on the Hill advance ticket process is in place for the Tuesday, June 17 USAC Sprint Car and 358 Modified double header. For advance tickets, please call 443-513-4456, leave your name and the number of tickets you need for June 17. You may pay for and pick up tickets at the Will Call Window after 4:15 pm, and enter the main grandstand gate at 4:30 pm.   General admission tickets go on sale at 5 pm. Adult grandstand tickets are $35, children 6 to 11 are $10 and children 5 and under will be admitted for free. Pit admission is $45 and a license is not required.

Next Saturday, June 21 will see another special night, as the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman will be in the spotlight competing in their first ever set of Twin 20-lap feature events along with a full show for the T.P. Trailer Modifieds starting at 7:30 pm.

This past Saturday was the second consecutive and seventh Saturday night rain/weather cancellation to start a season, becoming the most ever in Grandview Speedway’s 63 year history. Previously the most events lost to the elements to begin a season were five, which occurred in the 1972, 1982, 2003, and 2018 racing seasons.

With the very slow start to the 2025 race season, there have only been four T.P. Trailer Modified features run so far this season, and all at different distances. The Bruce Rogers Memorial 50-lap main event started the season, followed by a Twin 25-lap feature program, and one 30-lap feature run.

The T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman have completed just three features this year, all at the 25-lap distance, however two of the three feature winners captured their first ever Grandview Speedway victory.

Brian Hirthler, Brett Kressley, Chris Esposito, and Jeff Strunk have been winners so far this year in the T.P. Trailer Modifieds, while Colin Cox, Lawson Szerencits, and Jesse Landis have been T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman feature winners.

With no racing completed last Saturday, the chase for the championship will see the point standings remain the same heading into this week’s racing action, with Brett Kressley leading the T.P. Trailer Modified standings and Colin Cox sitting on top of the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman standings.

The following are the current top ten drivers in the T.P. Trailer Modified point standings – 1. Brett Kressley – 1094, 2. Mike Gular – 1074, 3. Craig Von Dohren – 965, 4. Logan Watt – 917, 5.
