GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY HAS HUGE JULY SCHEDULE- BACK TO THE NINETIES NIGHT $10 GRANDSTAND ADMISSION ON JULY 19

BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – With the calendar turning to July, and the weather getting hotter, so is the schedule of planned racing events for the month at Grandview Speedway!

The month of July was to be started with a Thunder on the Hill Racing Series event on Tuesday, July 1 with a visit by the powerful 410 Sprint Cars of the Pennsylvania Posse in the 35th running of PA Sprint Car Speed Week. The Speed Week event at Grandview is titled the Hodnett Cup and salutes the late driver Greg Hodnett who is one of the all-time winningest 410 Sprint drivers in Grandview history, with nine career 410 Sprint Car wins. The program will be sponsored by Alpine Building Supply and pay the winner of the 35-lap 410 Sprint Car main event a healthy $10,000!- Unfortunately this event was canceled due to rain.

Recent winners of the Pa Speed Week 410 Sprint race at Grandview have been Logan Schuchart  (2024), rain (2023), Rico Abreu (2022), NASCAR Cup Series stars Kyle Larson (2021, 2020, 2018, & 2017), and Christopher Bell (2019).

The Tuesday night show was also to include the 358 Modifieds in a NASCAR point event which includes qualifying races and a 30-lap $3000 to win main event. Alpine Building Supply has once again posted a first time Thunder Series winner’s bonus of $2000, making for a possible $5000 payday for the 358 Modified feature event!

NASCAR Modified drivers who have been victorious in the companion event with the 410 Sprints in recent years have been Doug Manmiller (2024), rain (2023), Brett Kressley (2022), Ryan Godown (2021), Ryan Watt (2020), Jeff Strunk (2019 & 2018), and Duane Howard (2017).

Grandview Speedway will then be presenting a NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series program next Saturday, July 5 sponsored by T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment featuring the T.P. Trailer NASCAR Modifieds and the T.P. Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman in a show that will include qualifying events for both classes leading into a 30-lap T.P. Trailer Modified feature and a 25-lap feature for the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman.

Pit gates will open at 4 pm, with grandstand gates opening at 5:30 pm, warm-ups starting at 6:15 pm, and the first race of the evening getting the green flag at 7:30 pm.

Adult grandstand admission is $20, students 10-15 with ID are $10, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members and $45 for non-members.

The T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman will once again be in the spotlight on MacMillian Oil Company of Allentown Night on Saturday, July 12 with the 55th annual running of the Firecracker 40-lap Championship race. The program will also include the T.P. Trailer Modifieds starting at 7:30 pm.

The following week on Saturday, July 19 racing will be sponsored by A.D. Moyer Lumber Company, and feature Back to the Nineties Night, with grandstand admission rolled back to 1990’s pricing at just $10!

On the race card will be a two-division show of T.P. Trailer Modifieds and T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman starting at 7:30 pm, while fans are encouraged to wear their 1990’s era T-shirts to the track on race night!

The month of July will end with a triple-division program on the 26th featuring the T.P. Trailer Modifieds, T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman and the Outlaw Racing Series Vintage cars starting at 7:30 pm.

Duane Howard scored his first win of the season in the T.P Trailer Modified feature last Saturday night, vaulting him, up to fourth in the current point standings behind current point leader Brett Kressley, who put on a dramatic charge from 23rd starting spot to score a fifth place run and maintain the top point position.

Mike Gular scored a strong third place feature run to sit second in points, while Louden Reimert climbed forward from 20th starting spot to end the feature in seventh position and currently holds down third in the point standings, while Jared Umbenhauer recovered from a mid-race mishap to finish the night in 14th place to maintain fifth in the points race.

Jared Umbenhauer – 1330, 6. Craig Von Dohren – 1227, 7. Logan Watt – 1145, 8. Eddie Strada – 1126, 9. Jeff Strunk – 1023, 10. Kyle Smith – 1002, 11. Ryan Grim – 995, 12. Tim Buckwalter – 933, 13. Doug Manmiller – 864, 14. Justin Grim – 805, 15. Ryan Watt – 805.

Addison Meitzler picked up his second win in as many weeks in the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman feature last Saturday night moving him into the top fifteen in the point standings, while Colin Cox had a strong second place finish to remain on top of the point standings.

Jesse Landis had another solid night and scored a seventh place feature finish to move up to the second spot in the point standings, while Mike Scheck Jr. scored a twelfth place feature run and sits third in points, with Kenny Gilmore picking up an eighth place feature finish and currently sits fourth in points, while Nathan Mohr scored a fourteenth place feature run but still holds down the fifth position in the point standings.
