NEW EGYPT, NJ – Three-for-three.
For the third time this season, the ‘Dirty Jersey’ has been postponed due to rain. Short Track Super Series and New Egypt Speedway officials agreed to postpone the event following remnants of Hurricane Erin rolling through the New Egypt area for much of Wednesday and early Thursday morning.
Both sides are actively searching for a potential makeup date for the 11th annual ‘Dirty Jersey,’ a crowd favorite at New Egypt Speedway.
Attention now turns to Camera and Autograph Night at the Central Jersey oval, taking place this Saturday, August 23.
Beginning at 6 p.m., fans will be invited onto the frontstretch, where all the cars in the pit area will be parked, to get autographs and pictures from their favorite New Egypt Speedway racers.
Following the autograph session, the track will put the finishing touches on the racetrack, with racing beginning at roughly 7 p.m.
The Modifieds, Swagger Factory Apparel Crate Sportsman, Four Cylinders, and Vintage Cars will all be on tap for the Saturday night affair.
The entire event can be streamed LIVE on the New Egypt Speedway YouTube page (https://www.youtube.com/@NewEgyptSpeedway).
For the August 23 event, pit gates open at 3 p.m. with grandstands unlocking at 4 p.m. The camera & autograph session is slated for 6 p.m. with racing to follow at 7 p.m.
Grandstand admission is $23 for Adults, $20 for Seniors (ages 65 and up), and $15 for Teens (12-15) and Military w/ID. Kids 11 and under are admitted FREE.
Pit admission is $30 with a license and $40 w/o one.
