NEW EGYPT, NJ – Buddy Three.

For the third time this season, Buddy Schweibinz was victorious with the Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series (MASS) at New Egypt Speedway.

Schweibinz, who started third, took the lead on a restart following a lap seven caution flag.

The Tuckahoe, N.J. native was on cruise control after taking the lead, lapping all the way up the 10th place car, sending 11th on back one down to the lap counter.

“We have a pretty good roll going here,” Schweibinz proclaimed. “Our setup is really good; I just have to hold the wheel straight.”

Schweibinz did exactly that, running away with his third New Egypt Speedway MASS win of 2025. Schweibinz also qualified with the World of Outlaws in town back on October 10 at New Egypt Speedway.

Warminster, Pa.’s D.J. Tanner settled for the runner-up spot after leading the opening six laps of the affair. Tanner, also a New Egypt Speedway winner in 2025, was unable to hold off Schweibinz on the restart.

Aiden Borden, Brian Carber, and Shelby Kelly completed the top five in the MASS feature event.

The MASS Sprint Cars will return for Saturday’s action of ‘Pinewood Showdown’ weekend.

In Swagger Factory Apparel Crate Sportsman competition, an ‘Underdog’ race, lock-in spots, and the Oliver Communications Group Match Races took place.

Tuckahoe, N.J.’s Jimmy Wyers led all 20 laps of the ‘Underdog’ Race presented by Training Tails Doggy Daycare and Training to pick up the $500 victory.

Wyers held off a hard charging Jordon Cox – piloting Mike Butler’s No. 04 machine – who raced from fifth and challenged for the lead for much of the second half of the affair.

With the win, Wyers also receives a guaranteed starting spot in the ‘Pinewood Showdown’ main event tonight.

Cox settled for second with Mike Toth, Mark Mohr, and P.J. Bozowski completing the top five.

The lock-in spots went to Pat Wall (17.633) and Jax Yohn (17.844), automatically putting themselves into the redraw for tonight’s 50-lapper.

Pat Wall also was triumphant in the Oliver Communications Group Match Races. After Steve Davis ran the table, beating the first nine competitors he faced, Wall was up to the task in the championship round.

Davis walked away with $450 for his efforts, nearly running the table, while Pat Wall took home $550 for his Match Race title.

Heidi Hedin took home a crowd-pleasing win in the Northeast Wingless Sprint (NEWS) Feature event. Hedin raced from the third starting position to lead the final 13 laps for the victory.

Rich Mellor, Greg Shepsis, and Andrew Hunt completed the top four.

Chris Lane out muscled Pat Force in the Xtreme Diesel Performance (XDP) LLC., feature event.

Lane, like Hedin, started from third and took the lead away on lap eight, leading the final 13 laps to pick up his third win of 2025. Force, Spider Ensinger Jr., Chris Allen, and John Carpenter were the top five.

Bobby Drayton IV held off his father to pick up the win in the Four Cylinder feature event.

The younger of the two Drayton’s started in the runner-up spot while Drayton III fired from the third spot.

In the end, youth prevailed, holding off dad and Joe Garey Sr., who was on the leader’s heels at the end.

Drayton III, Garey Sr., Dale Mull, and Dominick Antonelli completed the top five.

Racing concludes at New Egypt Speedway tonight with the 50-lap, $4,000+ to win ‘Pinewood Showdown’ for the Swagger Factory Apparel Crate Sportsman. The MASS Sprints, Four Cylinders, and Vintage Cars complete the night of racing.

For the October 25 event, pit gates open at 2 p.m., with grandstands unlocking at 3 p.m. Hot laps begin at 5:30 p.m. with racing to follow at 6:15 p.m.
