The beginning of a brand new racing season always brings much excitement and anticipation, so when the green flag drops on Saturday night April 4 at Grandview Speedway, it will begin the 64th consecutive season of professional stock car racing at the one-third-of-a-mile high banked clay raceway, all of which have been and continue to be under the direction of the founding Rogers family.

The VP Racing Fuels Bruce Rogers Memorial Money Maker is open to both Big and Small Block Modified competitors. The feature race will be run over the distance of 50-laps, paying a cool $7500 to win!

The feature race will not only see the winner rewarded handsomely, but the race will pay $1000 to take the green flag in the main event!

Since the very first Memorial race in 2018, the payoff has been outstanding for all drivers in the feature race, front to back, including the unbelievable $1000 to qualify and take the green flag in the main event. This formula was designed to give a good payoff to all drivers in the feature and make it a great night for some race teams that don’t always get a chance to finish in the top five.

Grandview Speedway management would like to announce that the same procedures that were in effect last year on the Opening Night program will be in effect again for the 2026 event. The VP Racing Fuels Bruce Rogers Memorial Money Maker will be sanctioned by NASCAR and will be the first point race of the new campaign for both the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modifieds and the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman divisions toward both the Grandview track and NASCAR Local Racing Series Powered by O’Reilly Auto Parts Championships.

As has been the case for several seasons, the driver is required to hold a NASCAR license for competition during the season, with owners and crew members having the option to enter the pits as members or pay a non-member fee. Management does encourage purchasing the NASCAR license for the additional insurance coverage.

For the VP Racing Fuels Bruce Rogers Memorial event, all drivers are welcome to compete as in years past, and if any driver is not a track regular, the Speedway will cover the cost of the $25 temporary NASCAR driver license for this one night of competition.

The VP Racing Fuels Bruce Rogers Memorial feature event will qualify 24 cars to start. There will be no provisional or guaranteed starters added of any kind. Heat races will be lined up by a draw, consolation qualifiers will follow to set the field for the 50-lap championship feature.

There is no entry fee for this special Opening Night event, however drivers are encouraged to pre-enter by calling or texting 484.256.4375, providing the driver’s name, contact information and phone number.

All drivers are also reminded to visit the speedway website at www.grandviewspeedway.com and click on the rules/forms tab to print and fill out a W-9 form and bring it with them to the track on Opening Night. The W-9 form must be provided to the pit office for drivers to be eligible to draw for heat race starting spots and to receive any earnings for the night.

Information on car rules are listed for the VP Racing Fuels Bruce Rogers Memorial Money Maker on the speedway website at www.grandviewspeedway.com under the Bruce Rogers Memorial tab, with all race teams in both divisions reminded of the right side pan hard bar suspension rules that were put into effect for the start of competition in 2025, which still apply for the 2026 racing season.

The T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment 602 Sportsman will also begin their point season and chase for the championship on the Opening Night program in a full show which includes qualifying events and a 25-lap feature race.

Race time on Opening Night is 6 pm, which will be the starting time for all Saturday night programs for the month of April. Pit gates open at 1 pm, grandstand gates open at 4 pm, with a mandatory drivers meeting also at 4 pm. followed by the drivers draw, then warm-ups at 5 pm.

Saturday, April 11 is set aside as a rain date if needed for the opener. However, if not needed, then a two-division program will be presented for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment 358 Modifieds and T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment 602 Sportsman under the NASCAR Local Racing Series Powered by O’Reilly Auto Parts banner.

One week prior to the Opening Night race program will be the annual Free-to-the-Public open practice day on Saturday, March 28 starting at 12 Noon, open to all divisions, while spectators are admitted FREE to the grandstands to get a preview of the brand-new season.

Modified race teams are reminded that they can have their engines sealed prior to the upcoming race season. To do so they can contact Ed Scott at 610-298-2408 for information or to set up an appointment.

Track Officials are also reminding race teams in the Sportsman division that their 602 engines may be rebuilt if they have problems, at our local rebuilding center that is available under the supervision and certification of the RUSH Racing series. The rebuild center is KB Performance 6807 Mosserville Road, New Tripoli, Pa. 18066. Contact KB Performance for further details at 610.751.9650.

Any questions call Grandview tech officials Cliff Quinn 484-357-2587 or Ed Scott 610-298-2408.
