LOUDEN TAKES 9th ANNUAL VP RACING FUELS BRUCE ROGERS MEMORIAL MONEY MAKER TO OPEN GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY’S 64th RACING SEASON
BRAD BRIGHTBILL VICTORIOUS IN 2026 SPORTSMAN LID LIFTER
BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – What a tremendous start!
With a packed grandstand, and a pit area that was overflowing with race teams, Grandview Speedway kicked off the 64th anniversary season of stock car racing on Saturday night, capping it off with an exciting evening of racing action.
When all the action was over, Louden Reimert of Oley, Pa. came out on top of an exciting battle for the win with Eddie Strada of Lake Ariel, Pa. to score the victory in the 9th annual VP Racing Fuels Bruce Rogers Memorial Money Maker 50-lap T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified championship feature to open the 2026 racing season at the one-third-of-a-mile speedway.
Also reaching victory lane on Opening Night was Brad Brightbill of Sinking Spring, Pa., who took home the win in the 25-lap T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman main event.
The Opening Night race program was run in honor of long-time track owner and promoter Bruce Rogers, who ran Grandview Speedway with his family for over 50 years, before passing away in 2017.
An amazing field of 58 T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modifieds signed in to compete for the first event of the new season which also was the first point race in the 2026 chase for the track and NASCAR Local Racing Series Powered by O’Reilly Auto Parts Championships.
The 50-lap T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified feature took the opening green flag, with Billy Pauch Jr. of Frenchtown, N.J. racing into the top spot, while there was great action behind him for position between Danny Bouc of Pipersville, Pa., Craig Von Dohren of Oley, Pa., Jeff Strunk of Bechtelsville, Pa., Eddie Strada, and Matt Stangle of Neshanic Station, N.J.
With Pauch Jr. leading, and Reimert in second, Strada who started eighth, was working the top lane of the speedway, slowing picking off positions and moving forward through the running order, reaching third just as a caution waved on lap eleven to reset the field.
The restart saw Reimert stay with Pauch Jr., racing side-by-side for the lead, with Reimert moving by Pauch Jr. for the top spot with a top lane pass off of turn four to score lap twelve.
Following another quick caution on lap twelve, the drivers got down to some serious racing with an extended green flag run, which set up some intense action throughout the field, with Reimert building a safe advantage in the lead, and Pauch Jr., Strada and Strunk in a serious struggle for second.
By lap twenty Reimert continued to lead over Pauch Jr., Strada, Strunk, Von Dohren, and Bouc while another intense battle was raging for top ten spots between Stangle, Brett Kressley of Orefield, Pa., Logan Watt of Boyertown, Pa., Ryan Watt of Boyertown, Pa., Tim Buckwalter of Douglassville, Pa., and Ryan Godown of Ringoes, N.J.
Following a multi-lap battle, Strada would clear Pauch Jr. for second on lap 23, with Reimert reaching lapped traffic on lap 25, setting up the huge race for the top spot in the annual classic honoring Bruce Rogers.
With heavy lapped traffic in play, Reimert would lead, running the top lane on one end of the track and the bottom on the other, with Strada primarily running the high line all the way around the high-banked raceway.
Both drivers would be passing the lapped cars while racing each other in an intense race for the top spot, with Reimert clinging to a small advantage, while Strada would stick his car out front a couple of times only to see Reimert move back into the lead, with Pauch Jr. soon to make it a three-way battle for the lead in a crowd pleasing race.
The spectacular racing up front would come to a stop on lap 32, when Ryan Godown rolled his car in turn one after a tangle with Craig Von Dohren causing a red flag, with both drivers being okay following the incident.
After a brief delay to clear the track, action resumed, with Reimert darting back out to the lead, leaving a lot of drivers changing position on the restart, and Strada and Strunk to settle the second position.
A final caution waved on lap 39, which knocked out top ten running Ryan Watt and Matt Stangle, with Reimert again pulling out to a comfortable lead, and Strada and Strunk challenging each other for second, while Bouc and Pauch Jr. fought for fifth spot.
The closing laps saw Reimert with a small but safe lead, Strunk finally winning the second spot from Strada on lap 41 and trying to track down the leader, while 17th starting Brett Kressley, 19th starting Logan Watt and 20th starting Anthony Perrego of Walden, N.Y. were making some late race moves to advance through the field.
At the wave of Starter Ray Kemp’s checkered flag, Reimert would score his fourth career Grandview NASCAR Local Racing Series Powered by O’Reilly Auto Parts T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified feature win followed by Strunk, Strada, Bouc, Pauch Jr., Perrego, Kressley, Alex Yankowski of Covington Township, Pa. who recovered from an early race mishap, Rick Laubach of Quakertown, Pa., and Buckwalter.
Qualifying heats for the 58 T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modifieds on hand were won by Billy Pauch Jr., Eric Kormann of Carneys Point, N.J., Eddie Strada, Tim Buckwalter, Jeff Strunk and Sam Martz Jr. of Whitehouse, N.J. while Logan Watt, Anthony Perrego and Ryan Godown won the consolations.
The T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman 25-lap opener saw Bryan Rhoads of Pottstown, Pa. grab the early lead with Brad Brightbill right with him putting on the pressure for the lead, while Addison Meitzler of Kempton, Pa., Jordan Henn of Kutztown, Pa., Matthew Laubach of Quakertown, Pa., and Matt Peck of Gibbstown, N.J. were all battling for top five positions.
A lap seven restart would see Brightbill power past Rhoads and into the lead entering turn one, leaving Rhoads to battle with Henn and a fast moving Jesse Leiby of Emmaus, Pa. who was advancing from his eleventh starting spot, running the outside groove of the speedway.
Brightbill would continue to lead, with Leiby grabbing second on lap ten, and Henn third on lap eleven, leaving the action behind them for position between Rhoads, Meitzler, Peck and Jesse Hirthler of Boyertown, Pa.
The race would run green from lap seven to the end, with Brightbill building up a commanding edge to the finish, with several drivers swapping spots in the top ten in the late stages, including Matt Peck who would pick up three spots in the final five circuits.
At the finish, Brightbill would score his 12th career Grandview T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment NASCAR Local Racing Series Powered by O’Reilly Auto Parts Sportsman feature win followed by Jesse Leiby, Peck, Henn, Meitzler, Rhoads, Joe Toth of Upper Makefield, Pa., Jesse Hirthler, Laubach, and Adrianna Dellliponti of Norristown, Pa.,
