BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – With the first two weeks of the brand new race season producing some extremely competitive and exciting action, Grandview Speedway prepares for another action packed two-division program again this Saturday night.
The race program for this Saturday, April 20 will be run under the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series banner for the T.P. Trailer Modifieds and the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman. Each division will run qualifying races leading up to the 30-lap Modified and 25-lap Sportsman main events.
The Saturday, April 20 program will also see the first of the monthly fan participation Trivia nights, where questions about Grandview Speedway racing will be asked, and fans will be able to win some cool prizes, tickets for upcoming race events, or gift cards. The trivia night contests were very popular and a lot of fun last season!
It will also be Checkered Flag Fan Club night at the Speedway, as representatives will be on hand to sign up new members and meet the winners in Victory Lane.
This Saturday night prior to the racing program will be the Low Down and Dirty meet and greet hosted once again by Whippy and Jennifer Umbenhauer. The drivers who will be participating will be the father and son duo of Ryan and Logan Watt.
The pre-race Meet and Greet is held in the main gate area starting at 3:30 pm. and is a great time for fans to meet the drivers up close, collect some autographs, take photos, and talk racing with their favorite drivers.
On Saturday night, Pit gates open at 3 pm, Grandstand gates open at 4 pm, followed by warm-ups at 5 pm, and qualifying action begins at 6 pm.
Grandstand admission for adults is $20, students 10-15 with ID are $10, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members, and $45 for non-members.
Defending track Champion Brett Kressley scored the win in the 30-lap T.P. Trailer Modified main event last Saturday night and will be joining current point leader Jeff Strunk as leading candidates for a win this week.
Other top contenders for a victory will be top ten point drivers like Mike Gular, Duane Howard, Craig Von Dohren, Eddie Strada, Ryan Watt, Doug Manmiller, Michael Storms, Jimmy Leiby, Jared Umbenhauer, Tim Buckwalter and three dozen total drivers who will be in competition on Saturday night.
In the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman division rookie Gavyn Krupp scored an upset feature win, his first career victory at Grandview. Krupp’s success came with a car that had a right side pan hard bar suspension set up, the suspension set up Grandview Speedway management will be having competitors switching to for the 2025 race season.
Top T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman drivers looking for a win this week include the two winners so far in Logan Watt and Gavyn Krupp along with point leader Addison Meitzler, Adrianna Delliponti, and Mike Schneck Jr., the top three point drivers who are separated by only three points entering action this week.
Other top drivers in action looking for success will be Ryan Graver, Dylan Swinehart, Zane Roth, Nathan Horn, Decker Swinehart, Nathan Mohr, Jesse Hirthler, TJ Mayberry, and nearly four dozen drivers who will be in action this Saturday night.
Looking ahead to Saturday, May 11, it will be a special three–division program under the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series banner as the T.P. Trailer Modifieds and T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman will be joined by the USAC East Coast Wingless Sprint cars in a program that will consist of qualifying races leading up to the 30-lap Modified and 25-lap Sportsman and Sprint Car main events.
Anticipation is starting to build for another exciting event coming to Grandview Speedway in the month of May, as the Kyle Larson/Brad Sweet Kubota High Limit 410 Sprint Car Series will be in town on Tuesday, May 28 starting at 7:30 pm with a rain date of Wednesday, May 29.
Adult grandstand tickets are $40, children 6-11 are $20, while kids 5 and under are free. Pit admission is $45, and no license is required. Advanced grandstand tickets for this event are available at www.tickethoss.com
