GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY POINT LEADERS JEFF STRUNK (MODIFIED) AND ADRIANNA DELLIPONTI (SPORTSMAN) LOOK TO JOIN 2024 WINNER’S LIST IN THIS SATURDAY’S NASCAR ADVANCE AUTO PARTS WEEKLY SERIES RACING PROGRAM

BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – Grandview Speedway has yet to have a repeat feature winner three weeks into a brand new season, and track point leaders Jeff Strunk and Adrianna Delliponti hope to add their names to the list in this Saturday night’s NASCAR racing program.

The entertainment on Saturday, May 4 will be a two-division show featuring the T.P. Trailer Modifieds and the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman in a NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series program featuring qualifying events for both classes leading into a 30-lap T.P. Trailer Modified feature and a 25-lap feature for the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman.

This Saturday night prior to the racing program will be the Low Down and Dirty meet and greet hosted once again by Whippy and Jennifer Umbenhauer. The drivers scheduled to participate from last week include Modified driver Eric Biehn along with Sportsman drivers TJ Mayberry and Gavyn Krupp.

The pre-race Meet and Greet is held in the main gate area starting at 4 pm. and is a great time for fans to meet the drivers up close, collect some autographs, take photos, and talk racing with their favorite drivers.

Pit gates will open at 3:30 pm, with grandstand gates opening at 4:30 pm, warm-ups starting at 5:30 pm, and the first race of the evening getting the green flag at 6:30 pm.

Grandview Speedway management is reminding everyone of a switch to a 6:30 pm start time this week. Management will continue to monitor the situation as far as weather and track conditions are concerned, to see how long this time schedule will be in effect.  Be sure to stay connected to the Grandview Speedway Facebook page or website at www.grandviewspeedway.com for up to date information on the starting times.

Adult grandstand admission is $20, students 10-15 with ID are $10, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members and $45 for non-members.

Both point leaders Strunk and Delliponti have followed similar paths over the off season and into the 2024 campaign, with both drivers picking up rides with a different team.

Jeff Strunk has reunited with Norm Hansell and his 357 racing operation, while Adrianna Delliponti is driving a car owned by her father Joe while being a teammate to Modified driver Tim Buckwalter and the Norm Saxton racing team.

In the T.P. Trailer Modified division Jeff Strunk leads the point standings after three events based on a third, a fifth and a sixth place finish, but is still seeking his first win of the current season.

Strunk will lead a list of drivers into action this Saturday including defending champ and feature winner already this season Brett Kressley, along with other top point drivers like Duane Howard, Mike Gular, Craig Von Dohren, Jared Umbenhauer, Ryan Watt, Eddie Strada, Tim Buckwalter, Doug Manmiller, the last event winner Louden Reimert, and three dozen drivers who will be in action.

The T. P. Truck Equipment Sportsman point leader Adrianna Delliponti moved into the top spot following the last program on April 20. Delliponti has two top five finishes in the three events so far, and would like to add her name to the Grandview Speedway winner’s list.

So far Logan Watt, Gavyn Krupp and Colton Perry have been to victory lane, for the last two drivers it was a first time career win at Grandview.

All three drivers will be in action looking for another win along with other top point performers like Dylan Swinehart, Jesse Hirthler, Ryan Graver, Nathan Mohr, Decker Swinehart, Addison Meitzler, Mike Schneck Jr., Logan Bauman, and a total of three dozen drivers who will be challenging for the win.

Next weekend Saturday, May 11 will feature a rare triple-header, as the wingless USAC East Coast Sprint Series will make their only visit of the year joining the T.P. Trailer Modifieds and T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman in a fantastic action packed race program starting at 6:30 pm.

The Memorial Day Holiday weekend will be a special one at Grandview Speedway with a Saturday event followed by a special Thunder on the Hill Series race post Memorial Day on Tuesday, May 28.

The month ends with a huge event, the first Thunder on the Hill Racing Series program of the year featuring the Kyle Larson/Brad Sweet Kubota High Limit 410 Sprint Car Series on Tuesday, May 28 starting at 7:30 pm with a rain date of Wednesday, May 29.

The program will be featuring some of the top 410 Sprint Car drivers in the country battling it out against the top Pennsylvania drivers in this high profile racing event on the high-banked one-third-of-a-mile raceway.

The 410 Sprint drivers will participate in time trials and qualifying races leading into the 35-lap $20,000 to win feature race. Rico Abreu was the winner in the first Kubota High Limit Series appearance last season, edging out Kyle Larson for the victory.

Adult grandstand tickets are $40, children 6-11 are $20, while kids 5 and under are free. Pit admission is $45, and no license is required. Advanced grandstand tickets for this event are available at www.tickethoss.com.

Since the 1960’s, Grandview Speedway has been presenting exciting wheel to wheel NASCAR stock car racing every Saturday Night starting in April and running through October, plus special events.
