SEEKONK, Mass. — Brain Robie scored the biggest win of his Modified career on Thursday night at Seekonk Speedway.

In the $20,000 to win Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series main event, Robie captured the lead late in the 100-lap event and drove away from challengers on multiple restarts to score the feature win. The annual Open Wheel Wednesday was delayed one day due to forecasted inclement weather, but the crowd was strong and 34 Modifieds were in the pit area to chase a purse that was over $80,000 throughout the field. A strong field of 27 took the green flag in the special event, now in its 19th year.

Robie passed Matt Hirschman for the lead inside the final 20 laps to roll to the win.

The Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series results are unofficial pending a full inspection of the winner Brian Robie in tech.

Teddy Hodgdon charged to the front in his first Seekonk Modified event, capturing a second-place finish. Kyle Bonsignore worked up through the pack late to finish in third, while Joey Cipriano also charged through, finishing fourth. Austin Beers completed the top-five after coming from the back at the quarter-way mark of the race.

Les Hinckley finished in sixth, followed by Ronnie Williams, Matt Hirschman, Doug Coby and Matt Swanson.

Seekonk Speedway will return to racing with Fast Friday on Friday, June 28 and NASCAR Saturday on June 29. For more information on the Action Track of the East, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media. The next Monaco Modified Tri-Track event will be Saturday July 27th at White Mountain Motorsports Park.
