BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – Grandview Speedway will have a variety of events for everyone’s entertainment heading into and through the Fourth of July holiday.

Action begins prior to the Independence holiday on Saturday, June 29 with a NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series program featuring the T.P. Trailer NASCAR Modifieds and the T.P. Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman in a show that will include qualifying events for both divisions leading up to a 30-lap T.P. Trailer Modified feature and a 25-lap feature for the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman.

Saturday night prior to the racing program will be the Low Down and Dirty meet and greet hosted once again by Whippy, who is back in action, and Jennifer Umbenhauer. The drivers scheduled to participate include Modified driver Mike Gular, along with Sportsman drivers Mike Stofflet and Colton Perry.

The pre-race Meet and Greet is held in the main gate area from 5-6 pm and is a great time for fans to meet the drivers up close, collect some autographs, take photos, and talk racing with their favorite drivers before the night’s program gets underway.

Penske Racing Shocks of Reading, Pa. has joined together with Grandview Speedway to now set up a bonus program for the T.P. Trailer Modified division drivers. Starting with the Saturday, June 29 program and continuing through to Saturday, September 14, the top three finishers in every feature will receive gift certificates of $75, $50, and $25 respectively from Penske Racing Shocks.

Pit gates will open at 4 pm, with grandstand gates opening at 5:30 pm, warm-ups starting at 6:15 pm, and the first race of the evening getting the green flag at 7:30 pm.

Adult grandstand admission is $20, students 10-15 with ID are $10, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members and $45 for non-members.

The next race will be a Thunder on the Hill Racing Series event on Tuesday, July 2 with a visit by the powerful 410 Sprint Cars of the Pennsylvania Posse in the 34th running of PA Sprint Car Speed Week. The Speed Week event at Grandview is titled the Hodnett Cup and salutes the late driver who is one of the all-time winningest 410 Sprint drivers in Grandview history. The program will be sponsored by HVAC Distributors Partners for Success and pay the winner of the 35-lap 410 Sprint Car main event a healthy $10,000!

The Tuesday night show will also include the 358 NASCAR Modifieds running in qualifying races and a 30-lap $3000 to win main event. Pioneer Pole Buildings has once again posted a first time Thunder Series winner’s bonus of $2000, making for a possible $5000 payday for the 358 Modified feature event.

Advance tickets are available for the PA Speed Week event by calling the Thunder on the Hill ticket line at 443-513-4456. Please speak clearly and leave your name and the number of tickets you will need for the July 2nd event. You may then pay for and pick up the tickets on race night at the will call window at 4:30 pm. Advance ticket holders will be able to enter the grandstands starting at 4:30 pm, with general admission tickets going on sale and grandstand gates opening at 5 pm, with race time set for 7:30 pm.

Adult grandstand admission will be $30, children 6-11 are $10, while kids 5 and under will be admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $45 and a license is not required.

Following PA Speed Week will be a special night of racing in which race fans will be able to take a trip down memory lane on Saturday, July 6, when Grandview Speedway presents 90’s night, which was a huge hit last season.

The highlight of the night will be the roll back of the grandstand admission to 1990’s pricing, as fans will pay just $10 for a complete night of NASCAR Modified and Sportsman competition. Fans are encouraged to wear 1990’s style clothes (if they still have them) or 1990’s era driver t-shirts for what surely will be an entertaining evening of fun, excitement, and great racing competition on the one-third-of-a-mile high-banked speedway.

This past Saturday night Louden Reimert scored his third win of the season in the T.P. Trailer NASCAR Modified feature event to become the leading feature winner so far this season. Defending Champion Brett Kressley has scored two victories so far this season, and one time winners include Mike Mahaney, John Willman, Bobby Trapper Jr., and Eric Kormann (Thunder on the Hill Series).

Other drivers who will be in action looking to score a win include point leader Jeff Strunk, Craig Von Dohren, Mike Gular, Eddie Strada, Jared Umbenhauer, Duane Howard, Doug Manmiller, Kevin Hirthler and about three dozen total Modified division drivers.

Last Saturday night young Gavyn Krupp picked up his second win of the season in the T.P. Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman division tying him with point leader Logan Watt for the most wins so far this year. All totaled there have been six different drivers with wins this year including one time winners, Colton Perry, Kenny Bock, Mark Kemmerer, and Addison Meitzler.
