GEORGETOWN, DE – Back in action.
Historic Georgetown Speedway returns to action with a ‘Summer Thunder’ event this Thursday, June 27 featuring a pair of headline divisions.
Millman’s NAPA Auto Parts Modifieds compete for a $3,960 top prize, running 33 laps in memory of the late Deron Rust. Stockley Speed & Supply Super Late Models return for a 25-lap, $3,000-to-win event.
Also in competition: Blue Hen Dispose-All Crate 602 Sportsman (20 laps, $1,396 to win), Southern Delaware Vintage Stock Cars, Delaware Super Trucks and Feebs Distilling Delmarva Chargers.
Pit Gates open at 4 p.m., with grandstand gates unlocked at 5 p.m., hot laps at 6:45 p.m. and racing at 7:30 p.m.
Grandstand admission is $25 (Adults), $20 (Seniors ages 65 and above) & Students (ages 13-17), $10 for Kids (ages 9-12) and Children ages 8 and under are FREE.
Pit admission is $40 (ages 13 and up), $10 for Kids (ages 6-12) and $2 for Children (ages 5 and under).
The entire night of racing will be broadcast live on FloRacing (www.floracing.tv) via the annual subscription.
Georgetown Speedway, originally constructed by Melvin L. Joseph in 1949, is located at the intersection of Route 113 and Speedway Road in Georgetown, Del., just miles from the Delaware beaches and less than a 40-minute drive from Ocean City, Md.
