JUST $10 GRANDSTAND ADMISSION TO SEE IT ALL!

BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – Grandview Speedway race fans and race teams will be taking a trip back in time with a 90’s night theme this Saturday night.

The highlight of the night will be the roll back of the grandstand admission to 1990’s pricing, as fans will pay just $10 for a complete night of NASCAR Modified and Sportsman competition.

Fans are encouraged to wear 1990’s era t-shirts to the track to enjoy a fun night, a trip down memory lane, while watching a complete night of exciting current day NASCAR racing action.

The program on Saturday, July 6 will be a NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series double-header featuring the T.P. Trailer Modifieds and T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman.

The race program will consist of qualifying races for both divisions leading into the 30-lap T.P. Trailer Modified feature and 25-lap T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman main event, plus two consolations and a 25-lap T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman feature from the June 29th race program which was cut short by rain last Saturday night.

On Saturday, July 6 pit gates will open at 4 pm. with grandstand gates opening at 5:30 pm. warm-ups starting at 6:15 pm. and racing starting at 7:30 pm.

Grandstand admission is just $10, students 10-15 with ID are $10, while children ages 9 and under will be admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members and $45 for non-members.

This Saturday night prior to the racing program will be the Low Down and Dirty meet and greet hosted by Whippy and Jennifer Umbenhauer. The drivers scheduled to participate include Modified driver Eddie Strada and Sportsman driver Ronnie Solomon.

The pre-race Meet and Greet is held in the main gate area from 5-6 pm and is a great time for fans to meet the drivers up close, collect some autographs, take photos, and talk racing with their favorite drivers before the night’s program gets underway.

Looking back at Grandview history during the 1990’s, the T.P. Trailer NASCAR Modified point championships were won by Craig Von Dohren (1990 & 1992), Tom Mayberry (1991), Duane Howard (1993, 1996 & 1997), Davey Wenger (1994), Ray Swinehart (1995 & 1998), and Terry Meitzler (1999).

Before the creation of the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman division at Grandview, the Late Model division was a companion class to the Modifieds each week with point championships being won by Dean Stoudt (1990, 1991 &1993), Jon Kellner (1992), John Geisler (1994), Terry Bartik (1995), Ed Aiken (1996), Lou Egrie (1997), Chuck Schutz (1998), and Jeff Teets (1999).

So far this season Louden Reimert has scored three feature wins to lead the T.P. Trailer Modified division followed by Brett Kressley with two victories. Single winners have been Mike Mahaney, John Willman, Bobby Trapper Jr., and Eric Kormann and Doug Manmiller have scored Thunder on the Hill series wins.

Some more top drivers who will be in action looking for a win this Saturday night include point leader Jeff Strunk, Craig Von Dohren, Mike Gular, Eddie Strada, Jared Umbenhauer, Duane Howard, Doug Manmiller, Kevin Hirthler, and three dozen drivers who will be in competition.

The T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman division has also been very competitive this season with six different drivers reaching victory lane in eight events so far this year, with point leader Logan Watt and Gavyn Krupp scoring two wins.

Other winners have been Colton Perry, Kenny Bock, Mark Kemmerer, and Addison Meitzler who will be looking to add to the totals this Saturday night.

Many more drivers will be looking to score their first win of the year including Dylan Swinehart, Adrianna Delliponti, Ryan Graver, Mike Schneck Jr., Jesse Hirthler, Nathan Mohr, Mike Stofflet, Brett Gilmore, and over three dozen drivers who will be in action.

Since the 1960’s, Grandview Speedway has been presenting exciting wheel to wheel NASCAR stock car racing every Saturday Night starting in April and running through October, plus special events.
