LAP SPONSORSHIPS FOR 54th ANNUAL FREEDOM 76 ON SEPTEMBER 21 ARE NOW AVAILABLE

JEFF STRUNK AND LOGAN WATT CONTINUE TO SIT ON TOP OF CHAMPIONSHIP POINT STANDINGS

BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – Following a wild and unpredictable night of action during the Forrest Rogers Memorial last Saturday, Grandview Speedway is preparing for a three-division race program this weekend.

Grandview Speedway will be presenting another NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series program this week featuring the T.P. Trailer NASCAR Modifieds and the T.P. Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman along with another visit by the Outlaw Racing Series Vintage cars.

The show on Saturday, August 17 will include qualifying events leading into a 30-lap T.P. Trailer Modified feature, a 25-lap feature for the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman, and a 15-lap feature for the Outlaw Racing Series Vintage cars.

Adult grandstand admission is $20, students 10-15 with ID are $10, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members and $45 for non-members.

Pit gates will open at 4 pm. with grandstand gates opening at 5:30 pm. warm-ups starting at 6:15 pm. and the first race of the evening getting the green flag at 7:30 pm.

Jeff Strunk had a great night last Saturday, battling with winner Ryan Watt for the victory in the 50-lap Forrest Rogers Memorial race, ending the night in second position to keep the top spot in the T.P. Trailer Modified point standings.

Craig Von Dohren made a late race charge after starting in 26th position and picked up a sixth place finish to move back into second spot in the point rankings, while Mike Gular was unable to finish the feature race, dropping out while running in the top ten positions, the result sees him now third in the point standings.

Likewise, Eddie Strada had a long way to go in the feature starting in 27th position and ending up in seventh spot to remain fourth in the points race, while Duane Howard just missed a top ten finish, but moved back into the fifth position in the current standings.

The current top ten in points for the T.P. Trailer NASCAR Modifieds are 1. Jeff Strunk – 3569, 2. Craig Von Dohren – 3258, 3. Mike Gular – 3142, 4. Eddie Strada – 3097, 5. Duane Howard – 2951, 6. Jared Umbenhauer – 2886, 7. Brett Kressley – 2835, 8. Louden Reimert – 2744, 9. Doug Manmiller – 2580, 10. Tim Buckwalter – 2535.

The T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman division had a wild night of action, and it was a troublesome night for four of the top five drivers in the current point standings.

Point leader Logan Watt continues in the first position after challenging for the win last Saturday, but unfortunately ended up in a mishap with a couple laps to go and ended the night in 17th spot. Addision Meitzler was second in points but got involved in a couple of mishaps during qualifying and didn’t make the feature dropping him to third in points.

Dylan Swinehart was involved in a couple of skirmishes in the feature and ended the race in 19th spot, but moved up to second in the point standings, while Adrianna Delliponti had to pit for a flat tire and returned to finish 16th in the main event and holds down fifth in points.

Mike Schneck Jr. was able to steer clear of any adversity and worked his way to a solid fourth place feature run, which moved him to the fourth spot in the current standings.

The current top ten in T.P. Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman points are 1. Logan Watt – 3079, 2. Dylan Swinehart – 2842, 3. Addison Meitzler – 2781, 4. Mike Schneck Jr. – 2701, 5. Adrianna Delliponti – 2600, 6. Brett Gilmore – 2573, 7. Jesse Hirthler – 2451, 8. Ryan Graver – 2304, 9. Logan Bauman – 2044, 10. Jesse Landis – 2028.

With the completion of the mid-summer classic Forrest Rogers Memorial, attention will now build to the 54th annual Freedom 76 T.P. Trailer Modified championship race in September.

The first bonuses for the big race have already been posted by Modified driver Bobby Gunther-Walsh and several of his race team sponsors. Gunther-Walsh, a local radio personality on 790 AM WAEB radio ,has been on the sidelines after a recent leg injury while in competition, but wanted to help boost the big championship race with two special cash awards.

Team sponsors Drs. Eric Lebby and Thomas DiBenedetto Orthopedic Specialists, Eden East Designs, Res-Q-Natural Supplements, Just Born Confections, and Agentis Plumbing, have all combined to post the Freedom 76 Hard Charger award of $1776, for the driver who advances the most positions from scheduled starting spot to finishing position in the championship race.

Another award of $276 will also be posted for either a Hard Luck award or non-qualifier during the Freedom 76 race night as decided by track officials.

Lap sponsorships, at $20 per lap, are now available for the September 21 running of the Freedom 76 T.P. Trailer Modified Championship race. It is a great way to wish your favorite driver good luck or advertise a business during the big race event.

Laps that are sponsored are read on the public address system and posted on social media leading up to the big event and on championship race weekend.
