OSWEGO, NY (October 26, 2024) – Oswego Speedway is thrilled to announce the return of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (NWMT) for its 9th annual Mod Classic 150 during Budweiser Classic Weekend 69.

This ground pounding event, part of Classic Saturday ‘Modified Madness,’ will bring the intense competition of the NASCAR Mod Tour back to Oswego’s historic asphalt on August 30th, 2025, further cementing the Speedway’s reputation as a must-visit venue for Modified fans.

Since making its long-awaited comeback to Oswego in 2016 after a 27-year hiatus following its 1989 appearance – the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour has delivered spectacular racing at the Steel Palace.

The August 2024 edition of the Mod Classic 150 was a notable one for local standout Patrick Emerling. Hailing from Orchard Park, NY, Emerling earned his first NWMT victory at Oswego, driving the Fleetworks No. 1 to an impressive win over series titans Matt Hirschman and Justin Bonsignore. Emerling’s memorable performance adds him to a prestigious list of winners at Oswego, including Hirschman – who is currently tied with the legendary Richie Evans with 13 all-time Tour Modified victories at the Speedway.

Hirschman, a Mod Classic 150 victor himself in 2018, joins a formidable lineup of past winners at the ‘Big O,’ including Doug Coby in 2016, NASCAR Cup Series star Ryan Preece in 2017, Justin Bonsignore in 2019 and 2022, and Ron SIlk in 2021 and 2023.

The Speedway’s upcoming 2025 schedule is again anticipated to launch on Memorial Day Weekend, with the full season calendar expected to be announced in the coming month as Oswego prepares for an exciting lineup leading into the holiday season.
